When Larry asked her about Deryk's Myspace page, her response was "Oh, gosh, I can’t believe you brought up something that was in the 'National Enquirer' and in one tiny newspaper that had a grudge against me." That "one tiny newspaper" was the Salt Lake Tribune, which had a circulation of about 150,000 at the time.Slinging it her waynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4648613329142670080.post-10535979337761023002011-01-19T23:37:37.427-08:002011-01-19T23:37:37.427-08:00I didn't pay much attention to Dr. Laura befor...I didn't pay much attention to Dr. Laura before she began writing a column for the News-Press. Then, in 2006, she complained about a fellow columnist's reference to her having "cojones." The N-P ran an apology in which it accused the other columnist -- a licensed psychologist -- of an "inappropriate personal attack." An editor was fired and the accused columnist quit the paper. So now we have Dr. Laura appearing on Sean Hannity, accusing CNN of causing the uproar over her use of the N-word, and boasting that she's tough just like Sarah Palin: "She has balls ... Now, they've got two of us." If nothing else, Dr. Laura certainly is entertaining, particularly regarding her views on the First Amendment. And although she's made a career of dispensing advice, I think her best role is being a professional victim.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
