ok so the teabaggers are trying to turn this into a Teachers' Union thing...the teachers are using the students as pawns to get more money and force Common Core on the kids..the conservatives think Common Core is a commie plot because it encourages free thinking and discourages ignorance and because it was thunk up by Bill Gates, the genius Microsoft guy who is a liberal....I've said it before, Gates and Steve Jobs tipped the balance of power back to the working class.....the do it yourself spirit..now it 's possible to fight the wealthy who abuse power like say Wendy..

so I'm looking out over the ocean and I see a multi-colored van pull over to the side of the road..it's got "Ron Deblauw for Assembly" written all over it....proud veteran and blah blah blah..so the van pulls over to the side of Via Real in Carp and parks illegally blocking the bike lane..then two people get out..a guy and a gal..then they proceed to unload a huge sign attached to some boards..

then the guy pulls out a drill and attaches the sign to the chain-link fence between Highway 101 and Via Real

I would think that defacing public property is a crime...and a distraction to drivers on 101!

so the news that a lady named Emily got attacked by a black bear in her avocado orchard gave me paws.... I saw her on KEYT, seductively lifting up her top for KEYT reporter John P-the mustachioed Mr. Man About Town- exposing her scratches..you could also see her fleshy back and her beige frilly bra, and the back snap part...those come off pretty easy as I remember...and John was rubbing her back, fingering the scratches with surprising familiarity...hmmmm

but uh..ok I'm skeptical that it was a bear attack..the last black bear that made the news in Carp was the one who was hiding in a tree on Foothill, by Rancho Monte Alegre a few years ago...I suppose if you pissed off a black bear it might attack esp if you had a few annoying dogs with you, but generally black bears are wussies...they see people and run away

now I've been around the ranches and Carp farm girls and they do smell funny and can be a little wacky, esp the Van Wingerdens...but if they wanna have sex with you, generally they just lay down in the avocado orchard on the leaves and branches and rakes and pitchforks, naked and you just dive right in....and believe me, someone always gets scratched!! well, water casts a reflection too you know

ever since I sounded the warning that the lakes were evaporating and the polar ice caps were melting, ever since I told the politicians to stop worrying about superficial things..ever since then everyone is talking about the drought and the water sitch, which ain't too good...

even the News-Press has jumped on the band wagon...an article about why the City of Santa Barbara in rebuilding the Reclamation Plant in a drought...the story was by hot 'n bothered Sara Bush who last wrote about co-eds at UCSB and sugar daddies!! how long do I have to wait, Sara???

I remember the last drought had everyone so panicked, some were painting their lawns green! and the people voted for state water and desal...state water is ok unless the state is in a drought....desal is ok if you got lots of money and time....and another water saver was the little reclaimed water plant the city built in the late 1980s...

it was designed like the Cater Water Plant but with a monofilter-anthracite coal..and it was only designed to capture and filter about one million gallons out of an average 11 million gallons that pass through the wastewater plant each day...that's alot of water for flushing..alot of fresh water..too much fresh water!! sewage water is 99.9% pure..like Ivory soap..so they say

the reclaimed water was stored on site in a tank, then pumped to users at night for irrigation...the plant worked like a charm for 10-15 years, but it was too small and the design was more of a proto-type..so maintenance was an issue

and the big tank that stores the reclaimed water was built with a potable water fill valve in case the reclaimed plant was off-line....

so the old tertiary plant outlived its usefulness and the city is building a bigger and better one...technology changes and things become obsolete very quickly, esp prototypes and iphones.......if you design something make sure you don't make it impossible or dangerous to maintain! and make sure it works as intended..and build with an eye toward future absurdly restrictive water regulations...$$$$$$$$

now I heard that some folks tried to blame the unions and pensions for the old reclamation plant's end...that is silly and ignorant and I'm not surprised because today's conservatives are silly and ignorant...but shit, they own the facilities, so they should tour it and ask questions once in awhile....but it's best to leave these decisions to the pros in the water dept

it's too bad we use so much fresh water to flush the toilet, but if you wanna blame someone for the drought, I blame all of you alcoholics who are probably flushing right now...how many times....three or four after last night's Santa Barbara gourmet foodie and wine extravaganza??? alcohol is a diuretic, so you piss more and flush more

when I'm hungry, I want to eat a cheeseburger, fries, and a Coke.. I don't wanna analyse it, fret over it or judge it..I just wanna fucking eat it....

now reading the article, the News-Press is trying to tell me that Goldwater was all about desegregation...Goldwater?? the News-Press says Barry "racially integrated" the Arizona Air Force and National Guard in 1947 yet didn't support the Civil Rights Act!! WTF???

well I see the new white Public Market by the Arlington so I go in and....but can't figure it out...you walk around and there's shelves with some goods, a small fruit place..more employees than customers with blank stares of Abercrombie Fitch models

the rest of the place is like a Top Chef kitchen.....I start running in a panic but I'm like rat in a maze.. no place leads anywhere but around in a circle, then in back there's an exit with no doors..just big black screens/grids that are inexplicable

I pick up some Ginger Lemonade and shampoo..I thought the shampoo was like $7 but, when I finally found the check-out stand named Forager's (???) it rung up for $17!!! I double-checked the Ginger Lemondade to make sure no alcohol was in it..the yuppies put alcohol in everything now

the Public Market is a like a foodie prison! get me the fuck outta here...I won't go back ..when I check out of a grocery store or market, I wanna see a union gal with big tits behind the counter, not some short skinny dude who looks like he makes craft beer all day...bring back VON'S

ok I think it all come down to the judges...and lawyers...When I look at this justice system, I see that swift justice is not a priority...some cases that should be resolved in a few months go on for years and years...in criminal prosecutions, the right to a speedy and public trial is a Sixth Amendment provision..

but I don't see lawyers and judges hurrying up anyone..no...instead they always continue things, sometimes six months down the road...then another six months

looking at the court calenders there are thousands of pending cases, backed up and some never to be resolved..they stay in the courts forever and ever, amen

now I know a judge who recently retired..she and her lawyer husband own a condo and rent it out...some of her renters were morons and gang members...she recently installed a satellite dish on the chimney without the HOA permission..so the HOA forced her to take it down..remember this if nothing else: you don't mess with the COMMON AREA!!!

anyway, I lost all respect for her..some judges and lawyers apparently think the rules don't apply to them!

so we got a problem in the system..lazy judges and fat stupid lawyers..this is unacceptable...

so any judge can be undressed in the Robing Room..not literally of course..you can read the feedback from the folks who dealt with them...some of the judges appear not to have a clue about how poorly they are doing....

here's a few comments about Judge Wu...he's one of the judges who ruled in favor of Tony Denunzio, the chronic drunk and guy who was convicted of battery...and his lawyer Darryl who obviously earned his judicial kneepads with these faggy judges

He maintains a friendly courtroom demeanor with an excellent clerk, but he is otherwise a disaster. He micromanages to a degree that his calendar is always overfull with return hearings. As a result, he is never prepared for argument, and has rarely read any of the papers. He wings everything, including criminal sentencing, which is a disgrace. He makes up for this by invariably sentencing for less than the proposed term, for the most peculiar reasons. In civil cases, he is the most plaintiff-favorable judge in the District Court, perhaps because he is naturally indecisive, and so reasons that he'll not be overturned by keeping the case alive. He is very intelligent, and has the ability to be very, very much better than he presently is. He is a great disappointment

so who reviews these judges? or are they just allowed to run a wild goose chase in search of real justice....

when the City of Santa Barbara can give away free taxpayer money to drunken criminals, there needs to be an investigation...I'll try to get to the bottom of this muck

so the City of Santa Barbara sent out a message to drunk drivers, including ones who drive on suspended licenses for previous DUI offenses: you can drive drunk, you may get arrested and become belligerent, but if the cops arrest you and use their training, you can sue the city for civil rights violations and make some quick cash, because the city will pay you, with taxpayer money!!

that's the message...DUI attys can legally extort money from the City of Santa Barbara and the city atty's and administrators and City Council will pay!!

I am completely disgusted the city settled with these clowns instead of calling their bluff..and the taxpayers should be upset too...drunk drivers will be very happy...it'll be happy hour all the time in Santa Barbara

but according to the report, Darryl says that one gal Britteny was leaving a party and fleeing a robbery with her boyfriend..somebody was trying to rob them and she hit a car..then the cops busted her for DUI and broke her arm...had this gone to trial, the real story would have come out, but instead the city just settled!! unbelieveable...fleeing a robbery??? they can make up whatever a story they want if they aren't under oath!

and for Tony Denunzio getting some cash for his arrrest and blood sample draw...wow!!

so the settlement is $177000 plus or minus $43000..that's cut three ways: $59000 for Darryl, $59000 for Tony and $59000 for Britteny plus the leftovers

the reason I mention all this is the News-Press has had non-stop animal stories on the front page..I guess to please animal-lover Wendy..but it seems Joyce has put together a task force to study the connection between animal abuse and violence to people (who are also members of the animal kingdom)...and child abuse

well this is crazy but Joyce has got some animal rights galpal lawyers trying to draw the correlation....
