My ballot is in the mail but I am tired of all these goddam feckless Republicans sticking their noses in everybody's business..and dancing Democrats obsessing over which bathroom to use...while children are being slaughtered in school by the NRA MAGA bobble-heads...how hard can it be to keep an AR-15 out of a sociopath's hands? how hard can it be to secure the public schools?

I like Reinette Senum for governor whose promise to "rebuild our topsoil and pollinator populations" suits me just fine...and she's a little controversial 

I'm not surprised that former Carp Councilman and News-Press columnist Joe Armadillo is mixed up with a corrupt marijuana company in SLO?  Joe brought shame to his time on the city council with DUIs and drugs and this and that

The Natural Healing Center/Dayspring debacle is just some drug dealers fucking up everything they touch...but there's Mr. Armadillo working for the NHC begging the gov't not to shut it down..all those good jobs 'n all...and all those folks who need pot to heal and all the money..and..and...OMG, it's just a mess of corrupt mayors, dope dealers, con artists, bribes, suicide, and cocaine 

but I've changed my tune a bit on legal pot...smoking pot will not heal anything but it's nuts to bust a stoner with a joint or two, put him in jail and waste my tax dollars with a trial...

The News Press has listed their endorsements (WHOOPIE!!) for the upcoming election and they are all right-wing religious fascists or Q-Anon believers which means they won't win..but if they do win you won't be able to have sex unless you are a married man and woman with Christian values like the Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts...

I don't think Roe vs Wade will be overturned and we can't let these crazy Christians stick their noses into our bedrooms or our business...abortion is ugly but the decisions are between family and doctor, not the church or the gov't mules...INBREEDING IS NOT OK unless you're a Channel Island fox or from Alabama

now, since the gorgeous lunar eclipse, animals and birds have been acting strange... the birds, the bears, the lions and the tigers, oh my..I hope it's not poison but they seem disoriented..

as reported by Snoozhawk, there's a little war brewing up in the Montecito hills between lowly hikers and well-heeled residents.. I used to be well- heeled, but not anymore

I would think the News-Press might be on this story but they get just sloppy seconds...

now, the hikers park by the side of the road and go for a hike up the Hot Springs trail and the rich folk don't like people parking close to them...just up the road is the Cold Springs trail which I love...it is beautiful! when I was a lad, I used to take my guitar up there, sit on a rock and sing to the weasels..

but as these areas became more popular, the celebs would put big rocks by the roadside to discourage parking...works better than a NO PARKING SIGN BUT how stupid and immature...and all it did was encourage accidents!

then the fire and floods hit a few years ago and wiped out everything in their path

but time heals and the trail heads are intact and during COVID, sun seekers went outside for some fresh air up in the hills only to be hounded by the big cheese living there...

this is Mountain Drive, the legendary Brigadoon... and understandably people want to protect it from other people

but hoping Das Williams will help is helplessly hoping...Das likes pot farms and development and in Carp wants to build a giant dog /pedestrian path between Santa Claus Lane and Carp, right in front of the Salt Marsh preserve!!! 

I've screamed at everybody but no one listens so the sweet beachy rural Santa Claus Lane vibe will soon be a thing of the past...
