I saw this story and couldn't believe it..jack-booted gov't thugs trying to scare Fiesta Mexicans..they didn't bother the white chicks selling boutique clothes in booths...

apparently, the egg sellers need permits and tax info for the (IRS) like the little girl selling lemonade on the street corner on a hot summer's day..

but the SB City Council needs to send a letter to the IRS wannabes demanding an apology...show some balls for once...some leadership, Madame Mayor

but on EDHAT and in the Indie we see the National Labor Board declared Wendy owes about 2.2 million dollars to past injured employees according to the ever-vigilant reporter/enemy of the people Melinda Burns...she's been on Wendy's ass since the beginning of the fallout so it's a victory for JUSTICE!!! justice has no time limit

next I see TARGATE,  the fake story pushed by the News-Press/ Scott Steepleton has imploded with the lawyers for the former GREKA OIL bailing due to non-payment...in a nut shell, the News-Press tried to blame the County for Greka's oil spill issues years go..remember when Brooks Firestone leased land to Greka and objected to any scrutiny on the company while the county staff kept responding and cleaning up after Brooksie and Greka...what a hot mess it was so of course the alt-right News-Press tried to spin the whole shebang against the county and now...now..now what Scott and Wendy??? talk about fake news!!!

another news outfit, Noozhawk is in hot water for trying to crawl in bed with the county and take money for reporting on the Montecito/Thomas Fire recovery efforts...the Santa Maria Times objected to this cozy arrangement and the county took Noozhwak off the dole...now they gotta go back to begging for money!!

speaking of begging for money, I haven't heard too much from the US Humane Society since Wendy's pal Wayne Pacelle was fired from the CEO post for bad behavior...but then lots of Wendy's friends are bad people because ultimately Wendy is bad....

and  I told you that Wendy bought the SB Wildlife Care Network their property in the hills of Goleta..and then the Holiday fired wiped out some of the infrastructure and now the SBWCN is on a fundraising campaign....target 2.5 million dollars to cover the costs of rebuilding...
that's just one reason I don't like non-profits because they expect everyone else to foot the bill..if they have money problems they just beg for more..and these are the same people who would deny a homeless person a quarter...

but the question begs why didn't the non-profit SBWCN have any insurance to cover the loss? fire insurance???
instead we have to see more stories of woe, esp from conservative media, to get people to give up the cash to the non-profits...

but I say no!! let them WORK for the money for once

so I'm driving thru Montecito or what's left of it and see that restaurant, formerly Peabody's now Oliver's...Craig McCaw's contribution to Coast Village Road...a vegan affair...Craig is Wendy's ex and the guy who made her rich by divorce...only in America can parasites like Wendy and Nipper thrive and buy newspapers!!! and drive the value down and now all we got it dog stories and Trumpie flat-earthers

but...well the restaurant looks like a morgue..the paint is olive drab and there is not one living person anywhere to be seen...no one is eating outdoors on the patio...I've never seen a body eating there

whenever anyone tells you they want to increase native plant diversity by removing invasive non-native plants (weeds), hide your wallet...

but according to Noozwack, the City of SB will spend  close to 2 million dollars to "restore" a creek along Los Positas..the city bought the property to stop development and instead of leaving it alone in its present wild state, they are going to manicure it!
as I've said before all these restorations are folly as the fires and rains always wipe out what is restored....if a creek gets clogged, all they need to do is clean it out every few years and let nature do the rest

a creek should be full of life..creeks attract butterflies, bees, birds but a restoration is only for people, nativists to pat themselves on the back as they get rid of the "invasives"...

it's bullshit..what kid hasn't gone down to the creek looking for frogs without worrying if the frog is native or non-native...a creek should fill a kid with wonder, not with interpretive signs

let the creeks flower with fennel and thistle..the thistle seeds are used by finches for their nests which kills the thistle til nest year!!
