Green Onions- Part Two

too bad the Polo Grounds Wine Festival was cancelled today at the last minute..I wanted to see Booker T Jones!!
so I went for some coffee and a paper, swung up to Highway 192 for some pics of pumpkins and down Cravens for a shot of the new cannabis facility, formerly grew flowers...it's right around the corner from me!
then to the beach and Summerland when I noticed an SUV following me...I head to my fave place by the creek and the SUV is still on my tail..I pull over to the side like I normally do and the guy stops in the road..I look over and say "what do you want, boy" and he says he's not my boy..so I say "what do you want, son?" then we get into a heated exchange.. asks me why I was taking pictures of his place... he says he thinks I'm casing his joint and if it gets robbed, he'll send my information to the cops..I laughed at such an absurdity
I said it's not illegal to take pictures then I ask him if he's one of the new pot growers..he stammers then says "yes"...so I tell him I own a condo in Carp and am very concerned about what happens in my neighborhood
his demeanor changed and he became almost apologetic but I kept hammering...I said an orchid grower would not follow me around and harass me if I took pics of his greenhouses..I ask him if he's paranoid as pot induces paranoia....he says no he's just trying to protect his investment
we discussed pot and booze and I said it's like if prostitution became legal and all the hotels in Carp became brothels, we'd have problem....
then I told him I'll keep taking pics and now I got my eye on him..and he left
I know a few cops and I'll see if following me around threatening to turn me in for a crime I didn't commit is something that needs a restraining order...
these pot growers messed with the wrong blogger!!

it's a mystery wrapped inside a riddle....I look at the news and see all this weird stuff...the BLM wants to frack behind Cate school in Carpinteria...I sent them an email for public comment: are you fucking crazy?? is all it said
I see a new cannabis operation in Carp with high green fences around the property, and the guys are white, wear baseball caps backwards, weigh about 80 lbs and now I gotta deal with it..in case you didn't notice, the crime rate has gone up since pot was legalized ..it was supposed to go down because stoners are so mellow...the good thing is the robbers are easy to catch because they're so stupid
and then I hear Maryanne (Dawn Wells) from Gilligan's Island is broke...send her a buck or two and don't outlive your nest egg

More than 100 enthusiastic Santa Barbara County Republicans gathered at Tucker's Grove on Sunday afternoon for a Labor Day barbecue in support of local and state candidates. The event was hosted by the Santa Barbara Republican Club and featured nearly 20 speakers....blah blah blah
looks more like a handful of elderly conservatives gathered to hear ideas of Justin Fareed and how he's gonna protect them from the Mexican MS-13 gang!! what about the Catholic church??????
and Wendy ran out of people to fire at the News-Press!!
so Justin Fareed has run for office three times and lost and if the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then Justin is insane

Fishes and Scorpions

the full Sturgeon Moon in Pisces had me mesmerized for a few nights, esp with Mars moving close by...so perfect for the transition from summer to fall...it's truly a favorite time to reflect..and confess....
and I must confess, I didn't do it

but I did notice some folks walking about in the Carp Salt Marsh..thought they were UCSB researchers but no they are the scam outfit Channel Islands Restoration trying to remove invasive species from the marsh..one such species is the European sea lavender..must be that European style socialism the NRA warns about!!
oh, according to the Coastal View, these plant Nazis are "authorized" to use HERBICIDES to poison and PLASTIC to smother the plants!!! lemme tell you something: you folks use herbicides in the marsh and I will sue you til your mothers' pussies bleed lavendar!! YOU GOT THAT??

now I've said this many times but it bears repeating...this restoration work by these native-only twits is pure folly..the European lavender is not harming a thing and watching these folks trudge through the marsh trying to get rid of it is rather comical..if Nature wants the European lavender in the marsh, then that's the way it will be

these eco-morons always say the invasives 'out-compete' the native plants which is nonsense..all things grow and die regardless of native or non-native status especially in a huge flood or fire!!
the notion that these people are gonna save the marsh by pulling weeds is beyond stupid..
besides, the recent dredging of the marsh probably killed thousands of natives
and sand flies...what about sand flies???

What A Beautiful World

what a beautiful world this would be if we could only get rid of homeless people and illegals...
now the News-Press loves to talk about illegals but they never talk about illegals employed by their friends...up in Santa Maria, God's Country, conservative supervisor Peter Adams, who once removed art from a public building because it was of a sexual nature, co-owns Adams Family Farms and employed illegals...after ICE raided the farm, Adams had to fire 300 illegals! this was reported by the Independent but not the News-Press..and Andy Caldwell a Santa Maria Christian resident who writes anti -Santa Barbara drivel for the News-Press, hates illegals unless they work for his benefactors and pals!! I'm tellin' ya, something ain't right up in that 4th district
if these hypocritical conservatives would've passed immigration reform co-written by the late great Sen John McCain and Ted Kennedy in 2007, we wouldn't've had these crazy ICE raids of agriculture...maybe another statesman will come along and pass a good bill but I doubt it
now the homeless sitch has some folks so upset they won't go into Santa Barbara anymore to see the reality of poverty and mental illness sitting on a bench on State St....I've been to State St and see some homeless folks but I've never felt threatened, just sorry for them...you gotta be a real wuss to be threatened by a homeless person...and I'll give a buck to a homeless lady who I know should be cared for in a mental institution, but has been cast out into the street by idiot politicians....
you can demonize the homeless all you want, but you're gonna have to find solutions and you're gonna have to fund solutions for the people living on the streets
and maybe, just maybe there'll be spandex jackets...
