I gave Kym a ride one morning to Kim's Market and, well, she was a real fine girl, a real nice babe and I was the perfect gentleman...helping a neighbor out..she was dating the ranch owner's son at the time...

I chanced to see Kym again at the Court House last year, took her picture and the guy who emailed me has a blog called Noblemania, and wanted to use that picture...so I said "sure" and say "hi" to Kym for me...

Yesterday's Papers

who wants yesterday's papers, who wants yesterday's girl?

so, the News-Press has stopped delivering papers via paperboy but since Wendy McCaw bought the News-Press with her big divorce settlement, the News-Press hasn't been delivering the news either, so what's the difference?

Wendy's a Trumper and a Birther...she'll never evolve and the 2020 wasn't stolen..at least not that I'm aware of

ok, so how many trees does it take to make a newspaper? too many! but now Wendy has switched to delivering papers by that dreaded gov't agency, THE US MAIL!! the USPS?? I voted by mail but who knows where the ballot will end up...

and it looks like Wendy jumped on the MODOC Save the Trees campaign with an actual News-Press editorial written by Wendy herself...now I have to wonder what she's up to...first she was against the Channel Islands Restoration, then she was for it, giving money to the Center for Biological Diversity which in turn applauded the Channel Island plan...never mind all the animals that were slaughtered, the plants that were poisoned and trees chopped down so now I'm supposed to believe she cares about some palm trees on Modoc Rd which the County wants to cut down to make way for an 8-million-dollar bike path...this may be a passive-aggressive hit job on Gregg Hart..not that I mind, I'm against any and all concrete bike paths, esp funded by Caltrans, and I hope the County gets the message and I hope Gregg Hart loses the election...but Wendy, how's about some consistency from now on

and speaking of 8-million-dollar sidewalks, the new section in Carp between SCL and Carp Ave is already seeing gay guys walking their dogs off leash!! (not that there's anything wrong with that)

when the City or County of Santa Barbaras say they are going to "restore habitat" that means trees are gonna get cut down and the City of Santa Barbara will remove three beautiful Ash trees on the Mesa for simply being labeled "non-native and/or invasive" a catch-all they use to demonize the trees they want to destroy....bio-nativism is a pseudo-science!!!

and same with eucalyptus which are NOT invasive in any way, shape or form..."Eucalyptus species are not invasive, having been planted commercially in Florida since the 1960s without spreading from managed plantations. EG and EA, along with Corymbia torelliana (CT), also may be used as windbreaks for citrus and vegetables. This circular describes potential applications and presents planting guidelines for these species."

see? the eucalyptus trees are beautiful if you open your eyes and for every ash tree they cut down, I will roam the hills and by-ways to plant another ash tree somewhere...

and I'm  watching them over-build the insane bikepath from Santa Claus Lane to the Carp Ave exit and they got more heavy equip than they used to over-build the highway!! and they've enclosed an area with barbed-wire fencing right next to the Salt Marsh and major bird and wildlife corridor...barbed-wire is for maiming, hurting or killing living things...CALTRANS are dumbasses

Bike Path Update

Living by the highway, I see a lot of things nobody else can see..and I saw CALTRANS/GRANITE pour a portion of the new Santa Clause Lane bike path last week-looka like an 8 million dollar sidewalk-but then today, I saw them dig it all up...now why would they do that?? I am furious!!!

it's October and I'm thinking about Bellosguardo, the Clark Estate, the Mansion on the Hill, so much so that I had a dream about it last night, enhanced by some tart, red wine from Argentina

I was in Santa Barbara and pulled over to park by the legendary East Beach before the City switched to the hideous angled parking scheme where you have to back in and before they gave Cabrillo Blvd to the bicyclists by reducing it to one lane...total vibe kill

but in my dream I saw a big white frog on a fence by the Bird Refuge, which was full of clean fresh water, so I crossed the street with some opposition as Jupiter opposes the moon sometimes..a big truck kept getting in my way

but I made it and there was an old blind dog walking around, and kids everywhere and a tree, a small, beautiful tree with birds on the branches and a pretty, lithesome young girl in a white flowery dress, tending to the leaves and things...I pointed my camera at the tree and she stepped out of the way, I told her I wanted her in the picture, but she just smiled and walked away, then disappeared...

I believe she was the ghost of Huguette Clark and when I woke up, I felt no pain

These pot farmers in Carp are so full of shit that it blows my fucking mind...first of all, is that Kourtney and Travis groovin' up the highway in a 50s Porsche Roadster? I drove one of these once and I was flying, man...flying!

but back to the issue...I got a letter in the mail from a pot farmer about a County inspection of Farmlane on Cravens Lane...if I want to attend, I need to provide Farmlane with a photo ID for "security purposes" ...they say smoking marijuana makes you mellow but in fact it makes you paranoid...photo ID, my ass

These pot farms are rife with security dogs and cameras so why would they need my ID? because they are full of themselves, that's why

and the website says it wants to "strengthen communities" which is why the county performs compliance inspections, I guess

look, these people are drug dealers and nothing more and thanks to stupid decisions by voters and elected officials, responsible citizens like me have to deal with the stoners...I see them walking down the street toking on a joint or a pipe...some of them come from Casa De Las Flores, the Peoples Self-Help Housing project which really looks like a halfway house...

and we got a pot dispensary looming on Santa Claus Lane...

let me tell you something...that ain't gonna happen
