as I pondered the sad state of the Bird Refuge in Santa Barbara (remember this is part of my territory) I gazed out over the Salt Marsh last night..the moon was high and bright, the marsh was nearly full of flowing water, the tidal flush needed so badly by the Bird Refuge, the herons were great and blue...

I like looking at things I can't see which is why I have ten pairs of binoculars...most are made in China and ok quality...the Nikons are the best but I got a pair a few days ago from a Goodwill auction..I paid 9 bucks...they are Kalimars...came in a real leather case, the binocs are well- made I think in Japan and when I looked thru the eyepieces, I was astonished...the clarity blew the others out of the water! the original receipts say a guy bought them in St. Louis, Mo circa 1965 and had them serviced in 1990..took real good care of them..and now I got 'em....thanks pal

why is everything so cheaply made nowadays??? I don't know but I sure like the Kalimars


so I see a gal named Heidi got busted in LA for alleged DUI...I suppose she'll run to Darryl for protection......people who do stupid things behind the wheel always run to Darryl to see if he can find a loophole in the Constitution that allows for such abhorrent behavior as drunk driving...but Heidi's name rang a bell so I find out she's a personal trainer and pole dancer in Santa Barbara..or was...I doan know what's up with these girls...but Heidi looks rather kinky in this photo...

so I drove into SB high on Tequila to gey my nu glasses and hic hic and I look cool...although I've never had a woman so obsessed with me sh-sh-she wanted to kill me..but...there's still time..hahahahaah! hic hic....

well I heard that Clint Eastwood was looking at condos by East Beach...the El Escorial condos...this place has a long history of weird construction and they look kinda ratty right next to the Zoo and all..so if Clint moves in I hope he joins the board, becomes president and cleans the place up..

I go to the Bird Refuge and yuk the water level is down, there's caked sludge visible that smells like doo doo and the Parks guy is watering the hell outta the native plants!! and two blondes are walking the dog.... this is gettin' monotonous!

the Santa Barbara Parks Dept has wood chips everywhere to try and stop the weeds....wood chips do not stop weeds..weeds are plants and they grow..some are adaptible to drought conditions which the native plants are not..ironic that in a drought, the City of Santa Barbara Parks is irrigating the native plants..how absolutely silly is this.. I thought the native plants needed less water

well geez, it looks like I missed the big Tequila Festival at Elings Park, the new home for alcoholics and their festivals...

seriously, when they have a festival and suggest that someone sober drive you home, you know there's a problem..and especialy if you need to drink Tequila in the day time..yeah..you got a problem..although some alcoholics refer to themselves as Tequila "connoisseurs"...

now some of these festivals are billed as educational events that enlighten..they got food they got booths they got greeters and.... oh sit dey gots everything...

but it's just a way to sell more booze...and the only reason people drink booze is to get a buzz...any other claim is bullshit...

they used to hold the Tequila Fest at the Cabrillo Bathhouse then moved to Elings Park

now I don't care if people drink until shit-faced..but in the public arena it's a problem...the carnage is everywhere.. I'm not a Tequila fan but I seem to remember long ago after a couple of shots my head was spinning...and any over- indulgence of alcohol left me feeling pretty bad the next day...and it's no wonder..alcohol is poison!!

and these festivals are just traveling liquor stores...and the dumbasses keep slurping it all up....

awhile ago I don't know when, I was watching a movie with a friend..I fell in love with the actress....

so I'm driving around on Labor Day and head down Padaro Lane and see this chick walking her dog..I think it was a dog because it looked like a pony but no it was a dog ..... a big dog..so now I get it..dogs especially tempermental weird breeds are a status symbol to the rich folks....look..as far as I'm concerned dogshit is dogshit whether your dog is a mutt or a showboat....

and why can't dogs use those outdoor showers at the beaches the people use instead of Dog Spas??

next I see in on the front page of the News-Press a story about an FBI investigation into nude celebrity photographs....WTF???

then I see while I put down the Yarnbomber and his insane ideas to cover trees with yarn, I see some gals have taken up the cause to vandalize the County Administration Building with yarn..the gals are called "Yarnboobs" ....what they should do and what I totally support is them making some yarn knit bras or bikinis where you can see their nipples...mmmmmm..let's get creative, girls!!

then I see that Maria Shriver was having a torrid affair with Arnold's chief of staff years before Arnold hooked up with the maid...

I wonder what it would be like to get a blowjob from Maria Shriver...we could have some beer and chowda afterwards!!  I wonder if she's up at Rancho Monte Alegre in Carp right now??

the Highway 150/101 interchange was the start of a deadly accident..a 16 year old kid took the northbound exit ramp as a southbound onramp and started towards LA...but he hit a truck head-on around Bates Rd and died....

he drove the wrong way- an activity made popular by Travis Armstong during his News-Press days..perhaps the News-Press could be liable

the online media sources covered the story and then Billy Mac over at Noozhawk corner of State and Mission started complaining about some of the opinions/comments people were posting on the Noozhawk site...Billy called some of them trolls for suggesting the alcohol or drugs may have been involved in the crash...so what Billy, you wanna censor opinions now?

and this from TEXAS?... lawyers-ready to blame the truck driver!!! obviously this lawyer never drove the 101 by Bates Road....there's a bit of a ridge and curve there and wrong way driver can come up on you quick....

There are still several unanswered questions here, and we’re going to have to wait until authorities complete their investigation before a way forward can be determined. However, I will say that despite the fact that the victim was driving the wrong way on the highway and in that way was in the wrong, it wouldn’t give any oncoming traffic an excuse to just run into him. It’s possible that if it’s found that the truck did anything wrong, that the driver, and by extension the trucking company, could be found partially liable for the accident. I have no reason to believe that this is the case, but it’s a very real possibility.

as I come down from Ojai-way, a blanket of fog covers the road and I see a bunch of pygmy pine trees planted by Caltrans five years ago...these trees were part of the native plant kick and now serve only as a distraction..so CALTRANS may be liable for obstructing clear views of the signs and ramps....chop down those little fuzzy stick-pines..they don't belong there....besides they interfer with the ocean vibe...

I get to the interchange and see a bunch of signs and exits and onramps...if I'm a 16 year old kid, at night, in a hurry I could possibly get confused and turn into the off ramp....but I'd have to be in a blur to do that...the Wrong Way Red Signs are clearly visible...was this the first time the kid traveled around here?? he was obviously disoriented..but always, the mountain side is northbound; the ocean side in southbound

who knows what happened..the CHP will investigate and GOD I hope they don't find the kid was under the influence..except of being under the influence of being 16 years old....

but to try and foist blame on the truck driver....only a lowlife lawyer would do that.. a lowlife Texas lawyer
