some joker called me an idiot for suggesting that the non-profit Young Miss America Foundation doesn't have absolute use of the Reagan Ranch although they own it...well, I never said I wan't an idiot but you know as well as I know that Wendy bought the ranch for the YAF

now, the Kids are a 501c3 non-profit which means they can't build a barn or grow pot at the ranch..they must follow IRS rules but you know as well as I do I got a problem with the Young Miss America Foundation...they supposedly operate for the public good but in reality just brainwash conservative kids into obedience as they ply them with money and jellybeans

all this fuss has to do with a public hiking trail that wants to run by the Reagan Ranch, or through it: As mapped, the portion of the WCCC Trail west of Refugio Road traverses the southern portion of the Reagan Ranch for approximately 1.5 miles. Petitioner contends that siting a public trail directly through the Reagan Ranch will result in unsupervised access to the historical property, exposing it to possible vandalism, theft, or other damage.

the YAF sued the county of Santa Barbara to try and stop the trail but so far, the efforts appeared stalled as the court ruled against the YAF: Based on the foregoing, the petition for writ of mandate of Young America’s Foundation will be denied. This does not mean that County is free to construct a public trail through the Reagan Ranch. The current writ petition, however, is premature. The GCP is a broad land use policy document and therefore a program-level EIR was appropriate. The trail corridors depicted in the GCP are not final trails, but merely general locations of possible future trails. If and when County decides to site actual trails within the plan area, it will have to conduct a site-specific, project-level analysis of the trails under CEQA. Should petitioner believe that the project-level analysis is inadequate, it may seek a writ of mandate at that time, challenging the project.

the question is was the YAF aware of the trail issues when they bought the property?? 

well, what the county should do is tell the YAF to fuck-off and just take the little bit of trail land for the public good and compensate the ranch to the tune of, oh..say $5000

I won't wear a mask either unless the private sector requires it like banks, grocery stores...ok no problem... and I'll stay away from big crowds like Trump rallies and sex orgies...common sense

but the pandemic has been botched by government so now we got this herky-jerky policy that I for one will not follow

anyways, I see a story about a bunch of old teabaggers shuffling around the Court House in Santa Barbara where I spent time covering DUI trials when the conservatives were blasting the cops for busting Wendy's drunk friends
