the dog days of summer

high sierra

I buy stuff from Sierra Trading Post...they have a mission statement in their brochures: that their customers deserve the best possible service; that they must keep operating costs low to pass on savings to customers; and that their business ethics must be consistent with the faith of the owners in Jesus Christ and His teachings...

I like that..no lectures, no politics, no anti-civil rights..just a simple business creed that expresses their faith regarding their BUSINESS...and great prices on boots and they even sell those cool down neck raps for dogs..so important for these dog day afternoons, right Wendy??

Sierra TP is a huge contrast to phony religious wackoff Dan Cathy..... his marriage views have nothing to do with the business of selling chicken sandwiches??? NOTHING!!! unless they are discriminatory...I think this guy Cathy spends too much time choking his chicken!!

writing a wrong
ok I don't know who wrote Sunday's News-Press editorial, but I'll guess it was Wendy and Nipper since no names were signed to it...and they were mad at the ABR for exercising its own free speech rights..Wendy says that Dan Cathy was simply supporting the sanctity of marriage! well Wendy knows all about the sanctity of marriage and the spoils of divorce!! haha

and she was mad probably because the judge ruled against Ampersand and awarded an extra $80000 to her arch-enemy Jerry Roberts... but of course still no story about it from Scott Steepleton..and they talk about no backbone at City Hall..puleeze Wendy you're the biggest coward in Santa Barbara...I suspect it's more comfy hiding in your ivory tower than visiting City Hall yourself...

anybody in a position of power shouldn't let his personal beliefs interfere with decisions-the News-Press

oh really? then whose beliefs should they use, someone else's? of course you should let your personal beliefs into the decision making process.....otherwise you'll become a Stepford wife, a Barbi doll, a tool, a troll...

the decision making process is the sum of all your experiences, so if I'm buying a car, I'll look to previous experiences and personal beliefs to make an informed decision..the sum of all my experience goes into the mix....the Gestalt..not just little itty bitty parts like chicken parts....oh sure you can eat the leg and the breast, but you know damn well you'll be thinking about the thigh also!

Rodeo Schmodeo....

oh so it's ok to kill millions of chickens who are supposed to be sweet and smart animals, but these jackasses have an issues with the rodeo??
yup... on the same editorial page they had some gal named Paula Kislak, a Wendy clone calling for the end to the Fiesta Rodeo because she thinks calves and horses are abused...she claims that "young calves race desperately out of the chute and often sustain neck and spinal injuries when the rope is pulled" ....that's just bull! calves aren't desperate, people are!!

I witnessed no injuries at the recent rodeo except to pride as most of the ropers missed the calves!!

and the calves have thick muscular fibrous necks so the roping doesn't hurt them....that's the way God made them just for the rodeo and later for the Happy Meals!!

hot dogs
but what about those poor dogs at an Elings Park event called the "Agility Dog Trials"...sponsored by the Santa Barbara Flyers Dog Sports Club....it was about 80 degrees and very humid on Saturday and these shaggy dogs were forced to run obstacle courses in the blazing heat with those thick coats!

just so these idiots could brag about their dogs..isn't that animal abuse??? torture?? yes I think it is!! shame on these people!!

but I didn't hear a word from Wendy or Paula....probably because they were at Elings Park torturing their dogs, too!
