SLO couldn't have picked a worse police chief than the one they got...Cantrell is her name and after some controversies, she's headed for another police job...the news that sent up red flags was when Cantrell left her gun in a fast food restaurant bathroom, and it was stolen...what a ditz!! then the overreach on the BLM protest, charging the BLM chick with a felony with made-up evidence???

but I think they call it the Peter Principle or Murphy's Law...you reach the highest level of incompetence and then everything goes wrong... but the bottom line  is this lady should not be a cop anywhere...no way, no how

if the cops keep doing stupid things, like arresting and hand-cuffing an 8-year old child,  they should expect some blowback...they work for us

next Labor Day weekend will end summer and we should all party in our own way..the SB County Health Dept will close the beaches which is stupid because people are gonna go anyway...why? because of the negative ions...waterfalls, thunder storms, brooks and the sea make us feel good.. JFK said: "we are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it, we are going back from whence we came"

I knew this  chick once...she was full of negative ions!

it took Wendy's ex Craig McCaw, the cell phone billionaire, five years to open Oliver's restaurant in Montecito and now he can't even serve food due to Covid! that's irony for you

so I'm so glad to see that the City of Carpinteria back-peddled on closing down Linden Ave or Main St to you tourists...when it comes to sidewalk cafe dining, Americans are so clumsy...I mean expecting people to eat in the street??  that's  where you put the in-laws at Thanksgiving

Carp still needs to lose the barricades and show some class, esp with our new neighbors Harry, Meghan, and Archie

the Europeans have outdoor dining down to an art, esp France... you can sit outside and watch les Parisiennes, the French Renaissnance art on the sidewalks, have a little vin avec du pain et du beurre...c'est tres bon!!

that's why it's good to study other cultures and not be afraid of anyone who's not a white, conservative, Christian, American kook

but still, the best place to eat a hot dog,  French fries and a Coke in Carpinteria is the beach

I got two pieces of advice for ya: 

never look a gift horse in the mouth
and never turn your back on a French woman riding a horse

so Ellen's getting flack for a toxic work environment on her TV show...they say she's mean but she didn't get to the top by being wishy-washy

I was driving through Summerland years ago and there was Ellen outside an antique store with her friend, loading up the SUV...

I stopped at the Stop Sign, backed up 100 ft, asked her if I could take a picture and she said  "well ok, since you asked"

she stopped what she was doing, stood there and smiled her big smile ...I said "Thank-You" 

I waved, drove away and that was that
