A Case of You

oh, I could drink a case of you, and I would still be on my feet, I would still be on my feet

the economy is cyclical so don't panic...the price of food is a little higher but that will bring all you fatties in line to an acceptable weight..

bicycling is good exercise so's running, too... but when I was a kid we didn't need bike paths... we needed  bikes and a road with hills and tore it up...worked fine for me

the more I hear about the Modoc Road bike path the less I likes it...it sounds eerily similar to the Santa Claus Lane bike/dog path that will connect SCL to Carp with big walls, dog waste stations and lights right by the Salt Marsh preserve...both projects are funded by Caltrans whose motto seems to be: more concrete, less trees, fuck you!

and the folks behind such development don't even own property here!!

County Supe Greg Hart just doesn't get it...claiming that building a big concrete bike path will reduce greenhouse gas emissions while at the same time advocating for the removal of 60 GORGEOUS trees on Modoc Rd...it's just stupid to kill Eucalyptus and Palms for no reason and being "non-native" is not a reason...

but really, who wants to see a bunch of bicycle riders stop to take a pee in your neighborhood?

In the Summertime

when the weather is fine, you can stretch right up and touch the sky, in the summertime you got women, you got women on your mind...

I got women and trees on my mind...I just saw the Modoc tree issue where the county wants to cut down beautiful Canary Island palms and some eucs for a fancier bike path...the bike path that is there already will suffice and the County of Santa Barbara needs to to cease and desist from this development fixation..

here's the petition:

https://www.change.org/p/save-the-modoc-road-trees/u/30759057

MY GOD, CALTRANS has already denuded the highway in Carp, destroyed Santa Claus Lane, and now the county is in lock-step with this madness...there are already a million places to ride bikes for the savvy cyclists...

only ten trees will be removed? that's ten too many

We must keep the trees for the beauty and inspiration they provide and for the birds they attract...and if the county is hot to chop down trees for being non-native, that is irrational...

HEED MY WARNING COUNTY OF SANTA BARBARA: if you cut down the Modoc palm trees, I will shoot this dog!!
