Where Eagles Dare

"everyone remain as he is"

wake up Memorial Day, turn on the tube and Where Eagles Dare is playing...so I watch the rest in the cool morn foggy ...

then the sun breaks through...ceremonies and lots of people and motorcycles everywhere.. people flying kites...seems everybody was his own parade

I've mentioned the psychology of wearing masks and you can see fear rules in some cases as people wear masks alone in the car...fear not reason

now this medical guy from the Public Health Dept, Herr Ansorg is his name, is issuing mask orders in a strong German accent  and that has me concerned...is this dude related to Hitler?

maybe an uncle in the SS..I think I'll keep him at arm's length

then I see a single engine plane with Air Force markings flying over the beach, tipping his wings to wave at the crowds..awesome

that's the spirit!

A Simple Song of Freedom

sing it like you've never sung before

it's pretty simple: a responsive gov't of, by and for the people...not an aloof gov't, not an overbearing, intrusive gov't
a responsive gov't...I hope they get it through their heads this Memorial Day

to honor the fallen who died protecting my right to go the beach and hang out as long as I want to

without interference

Charlie Don't Surf

and we think that he should

so I hear on the news that Das wants me to stay away from Butterfly beach this Memorial Day weekend...Das, I'm not gonna stay home and smoke pot all day..I'm going the beach or trail with everybody else and I won't wear a mask at the beach...

but I did finally get some masks which I have to wear to the grocery store...I gotta eat so I'll play their little game..but nowhere else will I wear one

but the masks I've noticed resemble ladies underwear as in panties! nothing wrong with that but also they look like sanitary napkins..why do they call them sanitary napkins I wonder?

I don't know

hit the beaches bitches!!!

Stuck in the Middle

clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right

ok Wendy, now you did it..you went and pissed off everyone on the left side of town..maybe they just can't handle the truth..but then again who can? that's why we have pot

the way I see it, Trump and Newsom should resign as they both represent the worst in their parties.. Trump is an aloof racist and Newsom is a Nazi-Nanny who keeps popping up on screen like a Jack-in-the-Box, uttering inane directives

this is all getting very tedious but I can say one thing...the feds and local gov't better have this country and state fully open by the 4th of July

because it's gonna open anyway

with or without them

As Tears Go By

I sit and watch, as tears go by

Dear Visitors to the City of Carpinteria,

I apologize for the piss-poor leadership from the City Council and City management during this virus panic

the City is now engaged in idiotic beach parking games...first the giant signs, then they barricade the small parking lots, some can only hold less than ten cars, then they put up Timed Parking signs, all this at taxpayer expense...

the beach is open but they want to make it hard to park...the goal is to prevent people from going to the beach and to stop the spread of COVID-19 (Carp Stoner Logic)

but there's no evidence that people on the beach are spreading anything but sand

the City is following Gov Nuisance and his silly, stupid directives with modifications

meanwhile Carp businesses are drying up and blowing away

the city manager should be fired and the City Council needs to be voted out next election cycles

PERIOD

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping

ok so Nick Masuda replaced Scott Steepleton and now Nick got fired or quit over Wendy's editorial which you can read right here

but while I was sleeping, the Independent, according to a commenter, has the story of Nick's demise...

https://www.independent.com/2020/05/02/santa-barbara-news-press-editor-and-owner-part-ways-over-covid-19/

words between Nick and Wendy caused Nick to depart the News-Press...damn,  I wonder what was said...Wendy can be pretty cross when she wants and Nick definitely goaded her  when another commenter here noted: Today, there's a disclaimer at the bottom of Wendy's editorial stating that her opinions "do not necessarily reflect those of the SBNP staff."

now that must've pissed off Wendy something fierce...Nick you just can't mess with Wendy's conspiracy theories because they are the only thing holding her brainpan together...even though we all know it's a pretty big jump to blame a worldwide pandemic on the Democrats, dumb as they are, Wendy sincerely believes Nanny Pelosi is behind it

however, the origin of the coronavirus is not China..the origin is the giant cruise ships..the Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean..all breeding grounds for disease, haplessly spread throughout the cities of the world...and remember former city councilman Frank Hotchkiss lobbied to get more ships to visit Santa Barbara, then he took off for Georgia...

well, if Santa Barbara goes under, you can blame Frank

Go Where You Wanna Go

do what you wanna, wanna do

I don't need permission from the governor to go to the beach or anywhere else...if he keeps it up, I'll slap that boy into the middle of next week

now, it is a beautiful May 1st...I'll spray some Lysol on me
and I'll be good to go

hey, Wendy and I finally kinda agree on something...Newsom is an idiot...but I don't think the Corona-Virus is a conspiracy theory created to bring Trump down..you see Wendy, Trump is an idiot, too and this whole sorry mess should end his presidency in November...

but I like the rest of her opinion and it is time to OPEN UP the state of California

(my comments in red)

The following is an opinion piece written by Wendy P. McCaw, the co-publisher of the News-Press:
From the publisher: We are living in tyranny
by Wendy P. McCaw May 1, 2020

If there were any doubt the Wuhan virus, through our elected officials, has taken over every aspect of our lives, Gov. Newsom’s arbitrary and unconstitutional actions prove it.
(Wendy, say what you mean: it's the Chink Virus)

Until this virus became a political weapon it was just another run-of-the-mill virus.  Look to see what both Pelosi and Fauci were saying in January and February versus what they are both saying today.  It became clear they could use the virus as a weapon to make their political policy changes and to further damage a duly elected president. (and duly gone in November)

When the virus became political some governors — Newsom is a good example — became dictators.  Yesterday’s most recent stupidity was to close “ALL [stet] beaches and all state parks”.  Mayor Murillo, never one to show leadership, acquiesced to these new “rules” saying “we will follow his order…”
Today it is unclear as to what Newsom is really going to do. He’s now saying he will close the Orange County beaches, not ALL beaches as he threatened and issued in a letter from police chiefs yesterday. (Gavin and Cathy, sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G)

But we are not a country of sheep. (have you seen a Trump rally???)

This virus has been made out to be the bogeyman by the propagandists; it serves their purpose to get their candidate in office by tanking the economy, keeping people in abject fear of what could happen. Feeding fear is a powerful tool and it’s been used effectively by those in offices elected and unelected and it’s been used very effectively by dictators in the past.
Think of all the businesses that have shut down because of dictates that are unproven.  We have not been given numbers that have substance, if one questions what’s been foisted on us by mainstream media we are called “deniers”, like in “climate change.”  Apparently we can’t question any of these “experts.”
Who is asking questions?  If one has an opinion which may be different from the propaganda we’ve been fed, their posts get removed from Facebook, YouTube, etc., if the question ever gets there in the first place. (free-market capitalism doesn't work)

We are living in tyranny right now brought to you by tinhorn dictators in governors’ offices, and medical professionals and elites in ivory towers who have never run a business in their lives. (remember "McCaw, Obey the Law" the good ol' days!)

Newsom recently spent over a BILLION of our tax dollars on masks from China at $5 a piece (apparently there is no sign of these masks arriving) and is now giving $75 million of our tax dollars to illegal aliens. (hahahahaa)

Dissension and our civil right to protest is being denied. Our liberties are being stripped for what, a virus?? Think about this. (is dissension a right??)

If this country can be put into this situation by a virus, what would it take to completely turn us into the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany?  We are not that far away now, having to stand in line to get into supermarkets, finding the shelves empty of products that were in plentiful supply before the virus and now the rationing of products.  When food shortages arrive watch to see how bad it will become. (there's plenty of deer and rabbits in the woods)

We need to stand up, question, confront.  We desperately need to get businesses back up and running NOW, take the shackles off the economy and get the bureaucrats off our backs.  If we can’t do that we will forever be under the thumb of tyranny.

(bravo, Wendy)
