charity begins at home...

nonprofits redistribute wealth! they are socialists! commies! pinkos! anti-capitalists!
In a never ending quest to expose nonprofits for the tax-evading lazy scoundrels that they are (mostly), I hereby declare that California should drop all tax exemptions for so-called "non-profits and religious" institutions, the money gained would EXACTLY be enough to balance the books! The Santa Barbara City Council race has a few candidates who collect cash through their nonprofits...fucking nonprofit whores, that's what they are..don't you dare vote for them..instead tell them to get off their fat asses and go work for a living instead of asking for more donations!!

REAL TAX REFORM!!!NOW!! TAX NONPROFITS!! CHURCHES!! KILL NONPROFITS!!
hey, I got me an idea..let's throw a Tea Party...naaaah...I don't want those genetic flops anywhere near me!! But, dadburnit, I'm sick of these little wussies hiding behind nonprofits so they don't have to work and sweat for a living....
Make all those parasites pay their own way for a change instead of sponging off us single taxpayers
Lets include charities, religions, especially the Jewish religion they should pay us for protecting, arming, and enriching Israel, and politicians in that group!! Politicians live off the backs of the people so we should tax them higher than any other group!! As for religions it is time they paid their fair share instead of chasing little boys!! They couldn't keep their mouths shut when it came to politics so they should be taxed also they no longer take care of the poor as the government does it now!!! They spend most of their money fighting law suits now!!

Many churches spend an incredible amount of money on buildings, cars, trips, and special expenses like paying off victims families. Just enough makes it to the poor to say that they are a charity. It would be much more efficient to make them pay taxes and provide the services directly from the government without skimming cash to pay off pedophile victims.
nonprofits no more! pass it on...

fingering the dog...

you need to separate your feelings....

so your dog has separation anxiety according to the Independent; maybe your cat is neurotic, what cat isn't? Pedro Nada spends all his time writing more laws to protect animals, Obamas czar Cass Sunstein owes Americans an honest appraisal of his animal rights agenda as America's top regulator and he thinks animals should be able to sue you..I saw a frog last nite outside on my wall..normally this is a good sign because frogs are falling victim to the county poisoning creeks to kill invasive plants..so anytime a frog wants to hang out in my garden, he is welcome! Now, Obama is starting to piss me off...anyone who gets outsmarted by Glenn Beck is a worry to me...and this frog....was he just climbing a wall or casing my place for a possible lawsuit..maybe I got dangerous walls?? I doubt it..frogs don't need much..just some swamp water and insects..just part of the natural cycle and food chain..but dogs with separation anxiety..now where do they fit in? Dogs are pack animals..happiest around groups..when they become a pampered pet, or you paint them different colors to win a contest, the poor pooch loses all wild instincts and becomes sick because you make him sick...and if you paint your dog you make me sick, too!
Dogs can't get separation anxiety any more than a cow can get depressed over losing a job...so what is the source of these irrational feelings for and about animals? Why is old bald Mex Pedro Nada trying so hard to impress #86? #69 I can understand, but #86?
Well, I traced it all back to one inane song called "Muskrat Love" by the Cap't and Tenille..look at this shit!! singalong if you want!
Muskrat, Muskrat, candle light Doin' the town and doin' it right in the evenin' It's pretty pleasin'
Muskrat Suzie, Muskrat Sam Do the jitterbug at a Muskrat Land
And they shimmy, Sam is so skinny
And they whirl and they twirl and they tango Singin' and jinglin' a jangle Float like the heavens above ...Looks like Muskrat Love
Nibblin' on bacon Chewin' on cheese Sam says to Suzie Honey, would you please be my Mrs
Suzie says, yes, with her kisses Now, he's ticklin' her fancy Rubbin' her toes Muzzle to muzzle Now anything goes as they wriggle Sue starts to giggle
And they whirled and they twirled and they tango
Singin' and jinglin' a jangle Floatin' like the heavens above Looks like muskrat love
for the last time...
there is no such a thing as muskrat love!!!

Surf's Up...

down and out in Santa Barbara...

is Kathy Ireland responsible for all these dikweeds moving to Santa Barbara? Kathy is cute and all, but kind of an airhead...did she clear the path for others to move here rendering Santa Barbara land of the monads??
look at the problem: we've had real celebs here since the 1960s...celebs who never flaunted it, just wanted to be left alone like the funny farm gal Ralph from Green Acres lived in the Montecito Upper Village by Manning Park...Mr. Cool Robert Mitchum lived a few streets away by the San Ysidro Ranch before Ty Beanie Warner bought everything...that's my point..look at these new celeb people..they are molecules: Ty Warner, Wendy McCaw, Dennis Miller, Elaine from Seinfeld, Rob Lowe, Arnold, Dr. Laura...wait..I'm puking right now..ok done...Andy Granatelli, Randall Van Wolkfswinkel, Christian fanatics Patricia and John Klink who just lost properties on Mountain Drive and on Fernald's Point/ Sharks beach to you history buffs, because they couldn't repay their $22 million dollar debts....
ohhhh, Sharks was cool...we'd surf there as kids, cut school to surf, grab our big OWL boards and hide them in the bushes, sneak to the beach through the yards on Fernald Point..the homeowners didn't mind back then... build a nice big fire on a foggy day, using driftwood, by the old cottages...isn't it good, Norweigan Wood!
owl
Interest rates will go higher. At its next meeting in February, the Federal Reserve Board may raise rates a full percentage point, says Patricia Klink, president of Advisers Capital Management, a firm that invests pension money in bonds and other fixed-interest securities. Lesson: If you have people like Patty investing your pension, you'll be working until you're 90!

Kathy Ireland's Shocking Weight Gain (and Loss)
As a top model, Kathy Ireland is used to seeing pictures of herself that have been retouched to hide her flaws. But when the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl saw a photo taken by her son as she baked cookies at the family's Santa Barbara house recently, the raw image took her breath away. "He said 'Mom, you look pregnant,' " Ireland tells PEOPLE in its latest issue. "I didn't recognize the person I saw. I saw someone who looked overwhelmed, overstressed, overweight, over-everything." In her latest book, Real Solutions for Busy Moms. Ireland talks about how mothers tend to put everybody else's needs before their own. Case in point: she had put on 25 lbs. without even really realizing it. kathy

and uh, oh well..nevermind....
I'm goin' surfin'.........

the Heroes Remain
heroes

America..there's tears in our eyes
from that day in September, New York
when terror filled our skies..
through the darkness and light
through the tears and the pain..
through the hell of it all..the heroes remain

America..now the anger fills our heart
and how we will not rest
until we finish what they started...
through the darkness there's light
through the tears and the pain..
through the hell of it all..the heroes remain

America..there's tears in our eyes
from that day in September, New York
when terror filled our skies..
through the darkness there's light
through the tears and the pain..
through the hell of it all..the heroes remain
recorded as a tribute shortly after 9/11 2001....

the Shady Bunch...

and family values...

Well, I finally figured it out..the Yes on B people had me confused for awhile..that's not hard to do, but how is it that all these monied, conservative, for- property- rights- before- we- were against them, suddenly turn into anti-growthers? After all, these folks are developers and realtors, and Wendy would rather die than let anyone tell her what to do with her properties..what the heck is going on here...then it hit me: affordable housing..that's what Yes on B is all about..they don't want poor people/working class scum living in town! That's it... that's all...Measure B is an initiative against po' people, not building heights!
Randy and the High Rise....
By STEVE BROWN / The Dallas Morning News
stevebrown@dallasnews.com
The CEO of a local homebuilding company has purchased a two-building office complex on Turtle Creek in Dallas with plans to hold the property for a future residential high-rise project.
Randall Van Wolfswinkel, CEO of First Texas Homes, bought the former Republic Insurance buildings at 2727 Turtle Creek Blvd. from an affiliate of Trammell Crow Residential. Crow Residential had owned the 5.5-acre property since 2005 and had designed two residential towers for it.
But the recession and housing downturn put an end to those plans.
"I've always liked that property and thought it was a primo site," Van Wolfswinkel said. "It has great views and is next to the Mansion on Turtle Creek.
"We think Dallas needs a high-end luxury residential building on that property –
so he builds luxury highrises in Texas to fund height limit initiatives in Santa Barbara, California!! This guy and his friends, the NewsPress, the three buyable amigos Francisco, Self and Hotchkiss are all a pretty shady bunch!
These are family values conservatives like Mike Duvall, who recently resigned over a sex scandal!!!
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 9) - A Republican state lawmaker from Southern California resigned Wednesday amid growing outrage over a videotape that caught him bragging in graphic detail about having sex with a female lobbyist and another woman.
Assemblyman Mike Duvall, whose votes on family-oriented legislation received high marks from conservative groups, said in a statement the furor over his comments had begun to divert attention from the work his fellow lawmakers were trying to finish during the final week of their session.
Mike is a Republican member of the California State Assembly from Orange County. Mike — who is
married — is a strong supporter of "family values." In 2008 he condemned efforts to "condone" gay marriage. He earns strong approval from conservative groups:
Such thinking impressed certain constituencies. Earlier this year, the man who never graduated from high school received "100 percent" approval scores by the California Republican Assembly, the state’s leading conservative outfit, and the Capitol Resource Institute (CRI), a fierce guardian of traditional family values."Assemblyman Duvall has been a consistent trooper for the conservative causes," CRI president Karen England announced in March. "For the last two years, he has voted time and time again to protect and preserve family values in California. We are grateful for his support of California families.’"
Acknowledging the CRI award, Duvall observed in a press release that as long as he is in office, he would work to protect "California families" from "constant assault in Sacramento."
PUEBLO..
I was watching the candidates debate on Channel 21 or 17... I forget which, but what I didn't forget was the PUEBLO girls in tight fitting yellow tee shirts...ok, how do I join...
PUEBLO is a 501(c)4 non-profit economic and environmental justice organization dedicated to building the political power and leadership of low-income residents throughout Santa Barbara County.
This is one nonprofit I support...I support pretty women with seductive Spanish accents..and they can live next door to me all they want..if they can't afford to wash their clothes in a washing machine, they can hang their bras and panties on a clothes line in my yard..for free! I wanna be yer landlord, baby!!!

I'm gonna take you higher! higher!! and maybe Sigourney Weaver will finally take notice of me instead of those gorillas she hangs out with!
The James S. Bower Foundation provides support for the positive social and cultural evolution of our world. The Foundation helps to create a better future by making grants to partners who share the belief that a healthier world can be fostered through compassionate action and social change. We believe that philanthropy can play an important role understanding and influencing societal change processes that will lead to positive results. We are committed to strategic, purpose-driven and outcome-oriented grantmaking and are interested in how we, as individuals and members of diverse cultural, religious, economic and political groups, can find commonality and further changes in:
Educational, developmental and health processes for infants, children, and youth,
Educational, developmental and health processes for seniors,
Environmental conditions,
Human consciousness and social awareness.
The Foundation’s giving is focused in Santa Barbara, California.

Consciousness Grants
Participating in the positive evolution of the human race
How can each of our unique capabilities be honored and expressed as a positive contribution to our community? How do we identify and remove barriers to success? What conditions will encourage each person to do his or her best? What is the consciousness of change?
Our existence is one of dynamic change. The processes of conscious and unconscious evolution are forever and continuously acting on all forms of life, matter and thought. Accordingly, the Foundation invests and partners with others who share our belief that a better world can be constructed through advancements in human consciousness. We are interested in supporting projects that will change community consciousness, awareness and values relative to our interest areas, and those that seek to raise and expand the community dialog about consciousness itself.

Helter Skelter....

have you seen the little piggies?

first, in a totally unrelated issue, let me say how disgusted I am with KTYD.. I was listening last week and they censored Pink Floyd's "Money"...Money, it's a hit. Dont give me that do goody good bull----! how wimpy...

remember Charlie Manson? he told some hippies to go kill some rich folks because they pissed him off..well, don't piss me off cos I know some hippies who know some hippies..
ok..I've been interested in the SB City Counicl election due to the oddness of it...the candidates are odd, the atmosphere is odd...odd is the new odd.. now, I got no problem with giving money to campaigns.. or unions giving my dues money to pro-labor candidates as long as it's legal ...this is America after all and it takes money to do the radio, TV and PR brochures....I seriously doubt that all those ads hold any sway in the elections..I think the idea is to blitz the voters so the ads start to work on the subconscious thus assuring you'll vote for the guy who tries hardest to brainwash or scare you!
Triggering Emotions

As more and more money goes into political campaigns, advertisements are getting slicker. "They're like short movies," Valentino tells WebMD. "The combination of visuals and audio can trigger very specific emotions - positive or negative emotions - and we think these have important consequences for political cognition and behavior."Ted Brader, PhD, a University of Michigan political scientist, explores this concept in his book, Campaigning for Hearts and Minds: How Emotional Appeals in Political Ads Work. Brader showed participants a series of political ads he designed. He found he could trigger specific emotions by changing music and imagery, while leaving the script and narration the same.Grainy images of guns, ambulances, and other disturbing scenes combined with tense music evoked fear. "Feel-good imagery," Brader says, "like in a Wonder Bread commercial," made people feel happy, hopeful, and enthusiastic.
John Thyne had a YouTube video and if you watch and listen to it a few times, you'll find he slurs his words!! No wonder, this is the guy with all the alcohol problems so I don't think slick TV commercials will change much even if your brother is an actor..you guys need to stop drinking BEFORE you get caught or it ruins your lives!

the News-Press is in cahoots with some other rich folks to try to buy this election...they have a few candidates in their pockets and we know who they are......Randall Van Wolfswinkel and Timothy Eller are two odd guys who tore up Texas and overdeveloped it..made a killing..Eller sold a house to Van Wolfswinkel which made The 100 Most Expensive Homes in Dallas 2009 list at $8,100,000! SEC filing: The top executive of Centex Corp. (CTX) got compensation that the homebuilder valued at $4.2 million in its latest fiscal year, less than half what he received the year before, as the company lost $2.66 billion. Chairman and CEO Timothy R. Eller was paid a salary of $920,000 and an incentive-plan payment of $216,459. Eller also got stock grants and options valued at $1.5M, and other compensation of $1.6M, almost all of it a cash bonus related to the exercise of options granted in 1998… In the previous fiscal year, he got compensation that the company valued then at nearly $8.8M." (AP via CNN Money, June 6th)..
process of elimination..
pouring over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore one night, I opened a book up and there was a picture of a bunch of folks sitting around a table, discussing something..
how do you suppose they feel about gangs and bulbouts?
Steve Cushman: I'm HUNGRY!!!
Isaac Garret: I be woikin on da gangs and puttin dem folks in jail...
Cathie McCammon: check out the Helene hairdo...stalker..better watch out Helene!
Mike Self:
aahhhh! a bulbout!! ahhhhh!! a 50 ft building! "the private sector has more incentive to do a bang up job than a city worker at a desk with a union contract" says Mike...what does this fat little pig- faced woman know about work?? Private contractors who work for the city undergo an orientation session so they don't cut corners...private industry is notorious for this....Greka being a shining example...
John Thyne: where's the bar??
Frank Hotchkiss: I don't know...
hey now, hey now, I'm all around you .... 'round you....

Labor Day...

here's to a really good job done well!

Labor Day is a legal holiday in the U.S.A. It is celebrated the first Monday in September. It is a day for the nation to honor its workers.Today, Labor Day is a family holiday. It is the last big weekend of summer. Many people pack picnic lunches. They go to the beach, the lake, or the mountains. Others invite friends over for a barbecue. Some towns hold Labor Day parades. Politicians may give speeches. But the first Labor Day celebration in the United States was not about family or fun. Instead, it was about making life better for America’s working class.Back then, workers were not always treated well. Hundreds of new immigrants arrived in the country every day. Most spent all their money getting to America. By the time they arrived, they would take any job they could find.Factory owners often took advantage of the situation. They paid workers little, but expected them to work 12-, 14-, even 16-hour days. What’s more, jobs were often dangerous. Even children worked in situations where a mistake could mean death...that's why we have LABOR LAWS and the right to organize!
The right to organize is among the most fundamental of workplace human rights. It is the workplace expression of the right to freedom of association. Employees are entitled to work collectively on common issues. The right to organize is also the tool which is used to create many other workplace rights. For example, American workers are employed "at will" and can be fired without a legitimate reason. Union members, however, can only be fired for "just cause" because they have achieved this right through collective bargaining.
ALWAYS FINISH
Anonymous
If a task is once begun,
Never leave it till it's done.
Be the labor great or small,
Do it well or not at all.

THE BRIDGE BUILDER
Will Allen Dromgoole
An old man going a lone highway
came at the evening, cold and gray,
To a chasm vast and wide and steep,
With waters rolling cold and deep.
The old man crossed in the twilight dim,
The sullen stream had no fears for him;
But he turned when safe on the other side,
And built a bridge to span the tide.
"Old man," said a fellow pilgrim near,"You are wasting your strength with building here.
Your journey will end with the ending day,
You never again will pass this way. You've crossed the chasm, deep and wide,
Why build you this bridge at eventide?
The builder lifted his old gray head."Good friend, in the path I have come," he said,"There followeth after me today
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
The chasm that was nought to me
To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be;
He, too, must cross in the twilight dim Good friend, I am building this bridge for him.

I salute all the American workers, the employers and the unions..and the working girls...
Now, start rowing your boats together!!

Aiglon College is a private English-style boarding school in Switzerland, registered as a not-for-profit charitable institution, with an international student intake (the proportion of nationalities attending the school may vary from year to year). The school gathers funds from full fee-paying students, from donations and via registered charitable trusts in different countries. Parents wishing to send a child to Aiglon, but who have insufficient funds to do so, may apply for their child to be granted a scholarship at Aiglon, funded through these trusts.
a charity case indeed, but what a stand up guy!
