now the good thing about the SB school board is two hot blondes: Laura Capps and that Dr chick Jacqueline Reid....the future is female

but the Board is in trouble with parents for the way they handled the MAD Arts Academy..well what do you expect from something called MAD Academy?? even AE Neuman could've handled things better..

I don't care about the implicit bias stuff but the allegations that two teachers were making gay advances at MAD students and/or partying with the kids are serious...the Board and the Superintendent have oversight and appear to have stuck their heads on the sand adding fuel to the conservative-led lawsuit over implicit bias, which had nothing to do with the MAD Academy drama any more than the Catholic church had any thing to do with the priests who were molesting kids...uh, wait a minute...well everyone is culpable it seems

of course the whole shebang at the SBUSD should be ended-no more Mad Academy..in its place how bout an ROTC program where some discipline can be injected into the system

Art is important but the schools need to get back to the basics..Art Club, Foreign Language Club, Literary Club, Math Club

there's some weird shit happening at the Reagan Ranch center..first we got Betsy DeVos giving her two cents on the state of education..Betsy is the Sec of Education thanks to Trump...what she is is a Christian wacko getting rich by marrying into the Amway family...a pyramid scheme of multi-level marketing if I ever saw one..at Wendy's luncheon, Betsy says she wants taxpayers to pay for Christian schools because public schools are indoctrination centers for liberals, anti-Americans and those damn gay people! well, who can blame her

then we got VP Mike Pence's wife at the Reagan Ranch Center selling her book..actually her daughter's book and Mrs. Pence did the illustrations..it's about a rabbit called Marlon Bundo- A Day in the Life of the Vice President and proceeds go to charities fighting human trafficking...I hope that doesn't include Chinese Massage joints

some of this was sponsored by the Young Miss America Foundation which announces its intent to spread Judeo-Christian values, personal responsibility and so on...

we all know that Wendy gives moeny to the YAF and owns the Reagan Ranch Center..she's obsessed with Reagan...and we know that Wendy's path to riches was to divorce her wealthy husband, Craig McCaw and get a huge settlement..in other words, she didn't work for it and that's the message to these poor little conservative kids...join a nonprofit and wait for rich people to give you money

who seeks to participate in a Young America's Foundation's program, I agree to the following waiver of liability.

A. Liability Release. I hereby release Young America’s Foundation from responsibility for, and waive my child’s right to, any and all claims including, but not limited to, those involving personal injury due to negligence. I accept the full responsibility for any and all such property damage, property theft, personal injury, disability, or death, which may result from my child’s participation at the above mentioned event.

B. Assumption of Risk. I assume all risks and hazards incidental to my child’s participation in the above mentioned function, including transportation to and from such activities, and do hereby release and waive all claims against Young America’s Foundation, its directors, officers, staff, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents, and speakers whether they be foreseen or unforeseen at the time this waiver is signed.
I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS MY SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO AVOID EXPOSING MY CHILD TO FOODS THAT HE OR SHE MAY BE ALLERGIC TO AND TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS RELATING TO POTENTIAL ALLERGIES, INCLUDING HAVING ANY MEDICATION SUCH AS AN EPINEPHRINE PEN (“EPIPEN”) ON MY CHILD’S PERSON AT ALL TIMES AND NOTIFYING YOUNG AMERICA’S FOUNDATION STAFF OF CONCERNS.

C. Emergency Medical Treatment Consent/ Property Damage.I grant permission for emergency medical treatment to be performed upon my child in case of sickness or injury and have indicated any special medical needs or allergies in the space provided below. All expenses incident to hospital care shall be my responsibility. I also accept responsibility for any property damage to the conference facilities that my child may cause.

D. Consent and Release for Use of Likeness. Young America’s Foundation uses real photos, videos, and quotes from its students for promotional purposes and to advance its mission. By signing below, I consent to the use of photos, written evaluation statements, and video footage of my child in any Young America’s Foundation materials or for any other legitimate purpose.

E. Severability. If any provision of this waiver is held to be invalid or unenforceable that provision will be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent possible, and the remainder of the waiver will have full force and effect.
This liability waiver shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

so I gets this thing in the mail from the National Forest Service about a "Forest-wide Invasive Species Plant Treatment Program" and they listed the usual threats that weeds pose to humans, from fire to petulance...

now I've seen this before..it's the same script the National  Parks Service and Nature Con used to kill plants and animals to 'save' the inbred Channel Island fox...what they did was a crime and they should be jailed..people get upset when a dog is abused, but not so much when thousands of animals are slaughtered for no reason

President Clinton signed Executive Order 13112 in 1999 to control invasive species but we all know that Clinton is a douchebag

so here's my letter to the Forest Service:

Dear Forest Service,

The plan by the Forest Service to control, kill, get rid of a group of plants labeled non-native/invasive sounds like pure folly...the notion that only native plants should be here is also folly...the idea that you would apply weed killer in the forest is just plain stupid but complies with all the hysteria created by the biodiversity people...demonize plants and animals then kill them, like they did on the Channel Islands..the NPS and Nature Conservancy "biologists" should be in jail for this travesty..at one point the Channel Islands idiots tried to kill honey bees for being feral!!!

weeds are beneficial: Fennel is wonderful to welcome spring with its licorice flavor...thistle seeds are used by purple finches...bees love the mustard plants..there's many natives living peacefully with nonnatives..everything has a life cycle and the plants will die off..so the Forest Service, instead of concocting some grand invasion of its own, should do some controlled burns and employ reasonable strategies to control any real threat...

haven't you learned by now that chemical control of plants ends up in the food chain???

the Thomas Fire burned nearly everything in its path from cars to natives and nonnatives...to suggest that natives are less susceptible to fires is nonsense

the Los Padres National Forest is not a personal backyard garden to be manicured to death and where dandelions are the enemy, so PLEASE manage our forests in California intelligently

drinking and driving is dangerous because alcohol is a depressant and affects your motor skills; smoking pot and driving is dangerous because pot is a hallucinogen and you don't want to be hallucinating when you're driving the kids to school

you drink and get drunk you're a drunk; you smoke pot and get stoned you're a stoner...

if you pretend that none of this is true, you're in denial

now there are some folks out there who will tell you that drinking is good for you but alcohol is a poison which is not good for you; now that pot is legal, some folks will tell you that pot is good medicine and give goofy anecdotes: an autistic kid used to hit himself in the head but since he takes pot, he raises his hands and only pretends to whack himself in the head

but as I listened to the KTYD Morning Show, I heard some pro-pot chicks discussing the benefits of cannabis with the DJs..one chick said she was so thrilled that recreational pot is now legal like alcohol! oh goody, now we can get high and drunk LEGALLY!!!

the DJs interviewed the chicks as part of an event to educate the public on marijuana...ie the dealers are trying to pull a fast one because they want to make money off of the stoners and wannabe stoners...the DJs were easily duped

if you want an education in cannabis, sign up for a Drug and Alcohol Counseling  program and you'll see how harmless marijuana use is..it is basic psychology: people use drugs and when it gets out of control, they turn to people who don't use drugs to help them

there's many reasons people use drugs but in the end, the drugs will simply make things worse by screwing up your ability to cope naturally..

it takes discipline and commitment to go through life clear-headed..the Art of Clear Thinking...

but there's just so many lazy people who would rather smoke a joint than do something productive and useful

and now they are spreading their ignorance on the radio..
