these birds are harbingers of rain..they must be
then, as he wended his way by swamp and stream and woodland, to the farmhouse where he happened to be quartered, every sound of nature, at that witching hour, fluttered his excited imagination, --the klee klee of the kestrel from the hillside, the boding cry of the tree toad, that harbinger of storm, the hooting of the screech owl, to the sudden rustling in the thicket of birds....
Trump says it's forest mismanagement causing all the fires in California and he's partly right and partly wrong: California officials and fire experts, including the head of the state’s largest firefighters association, blasted Trump’s comments as simplistic and ill-informed — noting that the federal government itself owns more than half of California’s forest land — and grossly insensitive in its timing.

insensitivity aside, all those environuts-nonprofits who demand biodiversity, plant native trees and brush then watch it all burn up in the next fire..silly waste of resources and of course all those houses up there in the hills should never have been built...tinder boxes..the kestrel and the Copper's hawk know this
but the rain must fall at some point..and it will
as the crow flies
