Mother Nature's Son

swaying daisies, sing a lazy song beneath the sun

I can't believe the bullshit coming from the National Parks Service..look at this

Update by the National Park Service
8:00 p.m., March 30, 2018

The Santa Cruz Fire perimeter has not grown the past two days. Containment is still estimated at 60 percent. Intensive efforts by firefighters continue and weather conditions have been favorable.

The fire burned approximately 71% nonnative species and 26% native species within its perimeter. The nonnative species included fennel, grasses, and eucalyptus logs. Mapping shows that the fire laid down when it burned into the native chaparral and oak woodland communities.

so the fire "laid down" when it approached native species..boy, that's one smart fire..gee, I wish the Thomas fire was that intelligent knowing when to 'lay down' upon reaching a native oak grove...then we could have saved all those houses...oh wait, it didn't lay down..it burned through everything!! native, non-native-animal, vegetable or mineral

the NPS propaganda wants me to think that fire burns non-natives more than natives which is a crock...but that's the rationale they use to justify killing non-natives to save natives....it's obviously irrational as spring is flowing rather beautifully....you can see the fluffy seeds floating on the breezes and being dispersed wherever Mother Nature wants..

the buttercups, the sage and fennel, the bees and the screaming girls....everything growing and all of Nature doing a wonderful job....pinch some fennel, it's better than a chaw of tobaccy! and up there in that tree- a thrasher singing a beautiful song!

the Nature Con and NPS should start appreciating what nature has to offer, instead of trying to burn it down
