as America riots and burns, I see Santa Cruz Island is burning, too..over 700 acres!! the thing is if you go over for a hike and step on a native plant, they will kill you just like they killed all those pigs..they'll fly over you in a helicopter and shoot you..so be careful
who is they? it's the NPS and Nature Conservancy, killers of thousands of animals and they didn't even go to prison! of course the restoration to save the inbred fox was a scam...these people are nothing more than eco-terrorists..
the foxes are not free
they got biologists over there monitoring the foxes for diseases, radio collars on them and tagging eagles and micromanaging nature to the nth degree...
they are constantly trying to get rid of non-native species using cheap student labor, and they plant natives but what they don't get is the wind carries seeds everywhere...no concern for native or non-native

but what I don't hear is what the fire did to the foxes and native plants..did it magically by-pass the natives?
the islands were much better off when owned by the ranchers and horses ran wild and goats and pigs weren't being picked off by thugs in gov't helicopters
