I'm looking foward to two concerts coming to town..Lila Downs at the Granada and Stills and Collins at the Arlington... a great way to close out an awesome Summer and welcome Fall
Lila is a hot Mexican chiquita and sings good and gots some political chops...I love her!! I am in love with her
Stephen Stills and Judy Collins should be interesting...lovebirds back in the day, Still turned his heartache into pop music gold with Suite: Judy Blue Eyes off the first CSN album...before that Buffalo Springfield was blazing the trail with great music and funny stories...then Stills formed Manassass with Chris Hillman and they put out the awesome first triple album...so many top musicians from Al Perkins to Joe Lala...and of course the Stills solo albums..the first one using Jimi Hendrix on one track and Eric Clapton on another...and he hooked up with Etta James for some righteous blues
Stills was a very driven and talented man...the voice hasn't held up well over the years, so we'll see
Judy Collins had a hit with 'Both Sides Now', the Joni Mitchell gem and then proceeded to build a huge career that made her an icon...she's a superb musician and songwriter..'Since You Asked' is among the most beautiful songs ever written..Judy's version of Sandy Denny's "Knows Where The Time Goes' is why I love this music...it sends a chill right through my soul..

oh boy, I'm looking forward to these autumn concerts from these very talented people
