EXCLUSIVE!
the Flintstone capers revisited

there's a couple of stories I mentioned earlier in this here blog and other media have followed up on the outcomes... the Ventura County Star and the (San Luis Obispo) Tribune are to be congratulated for doing stories the News-Press wouldn't dare touch!

and both stories involve DUI atty Darryl Genis!

one was about Alex D'Andrea, the business partner of Stephen Baldwin of the famous Baldwin Bros....Stephen was the guy who blamed Hollywood liberals for killing his career, so he turned to Jesus and begged for money....

so there's this hothead Hollywood producer Alex D'Andrea - movie actor Stephen Baldwin's business partner-who sent his daughter to the Weil Ojai Tennis Acadamy and when she got expelled, he freaked out!!! like Lance freaked out when he got arrested...and anyone who's dumb enough to be Stephen Baldwin's business partner deserves some scrutiny...

last year Stephen Baldwin ( the least talented one who last starred in the Flintstones as Barney Rubble!)) went bankrupt, found religion, said he was being bullied and
asked people to send him money! (CBS) A website is appealing to visitors to donate money to what it says is a noble cause - helping actor Stephen Baldwin.

then we get an update from the Ventura County Star in which D'Andrea was found guilty of impersonating a public official: D'Andrea was accused of flashing a badge and intimidating the owners and an employee of the Weil Tennis Academy in Ojai in 2010.

Alexander D'Andrea was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 36 months of probation. He also was fined $2,500 and is to stay away from Weil Tennis Academy owner Mark Weil.

During the trial Tuesday, Lo told jurors D'Andrea, movie actor Stephen Baldwin's business partner, is a bully who told the academy's owner and an employee that he was a Los Angeles County sheriff's reserve deputy.

D'Andrea's attorney, Darryl Genis, said the defense has filed an appeal and plans to ask a judge to stay the sentence until the appeal is resolved.

then we see that Darryl Genis was sanctioned by a north county judge for violating professional standards

A Santa Barbara-based attorney who called a local judge "an embarrassment to our profession" lost an appeal of a sanction issued against him for failing to appear for multiple court dates in a case he was handling in San Luis Obispo Superior Court last year.

Darryl W. Genis was sanctioned by Judge Jac Crawford for his "failure to appear personally at several readiness conferences, after having been ordered to so, and after having been granted multiple continuances over a period of almost one year," according to an appellate decision this month by San Luis Obispo Superior Court judges Charles Crandall, John Trice and Michael Duffy.

But Genis says Crawford was out of line in issuing him a sanction of $750. Genis said he vows to exhaust all legal avenues to fight the penalty.

Crawford was not contacted for comment because judges do not discuss cases they’re involved with due to ethical constraints and concerns related to appeals of cases.

Sanctions are extreme measures that judges take against attorneys who violate professional standards. A sanction can be issued after warnings about a lawyer’s conduct.

it is interesting to note that the Ventura County Star subscription numbers are in the 70,000 range while the News-Press are still down in the 26,000 range...

and it's no wonder...the News-Press would never cover these stories because they are pals with Darryl Genis....whatever happened to "without fear or favor of friend or foe" ??
