Another Day in Paradise

Oh think twice, it's another day for / You and me in paradise

"does your heart race sputter and skip a beat?" asks the gal on KTYD promoting some medical procedure...why yes it does when I see you walking down the street, baby

it appears that Wendy's got a new thick glossy publication in the Saturday News-Press called "Keys to Paradise" wherein she glows over Santa Barbara from the perspective of a gal who got rich through divorce....in this extra luxurious booklet she includes things like home theaters and sterile architecture...

"lush greenery that embraces the land"...geez

what Wendy doesn't understand is it's the people who make Santa Barbara, not the things...but Wendy's focus in the new publication is luxury luxury luxury....people who need to surround themselves in luxury have very low self-esteem..in Wendy's case, it's obvious...this glossy booklet which is really an ad for realtors and builders must have cost tons of water to produce...

what a waste...and there's a section about the Botanic Beer Garden...the Garden is now run by that bald-headed rascal from Texas, Steve Windager, who's always trying to push (and sell) native plants because he claims they use far less water than imported varieties...as I've pointed out many times this is nonsense and false advertising...and as I've pointed out, most of the native restorations have their own irrigation systems meaning it takes excessive water to keep most so-called natives alive...next time you're on a hike at the Bluffs, look for all the irrigation lines in this "natural" setting!

then, if you check out a trail, you'll see which plants thrive outside the influence of humanity, untouched by native-only salesmen....and no separate irrigation system needed

ok I ain't messing around no more..no more any more....I got seeds and things to spread and wonder about things

it's Spring and sunny in May and life is coming up roses..for me anyway..sometimes

Saturday morning....I go down to the Salt Marsh to hang out...I look around and see lots of big plants and flowers and weeds but no pterois volitans...I look down at the isthmus and see some crabs..lots of crabs... I see the crabs eating a dead animal..a mud hen or bird or something..proof that crabs are scavengers and carnivores and more importantly omnivores...

NON-NATIVE ALERT

WARNING FROM FLORIDA..INVASIVE LIONFISH (pterois volitans) INVADING!!

Lionfish are a predatory reef fish. They eat native fish, which can reduce native populations and have negative effects on the overall reef habitat and health as they can eliminate species that serve important ecological roles such as fish that keep algae in check on the reefs. Lionfish also compete for food with native predatory fish such as grouper and snapper.

WARNING FROM SB COUNTY: AFRICANIZED (NIGGA) HONEYBEES INVADING GOLETA!

known to attack white people for no reason, they are the bad nigga bees with huge stingers so keep your women at home!!

ok, so as I was out partaking in the wonders on nature, I felt someone breathing down my neck again...WENDY! according to Wendy McCuckoo, we live in paradise at the end of the rainbow...isn't it obvious she's trying to promote class warfare? the middle class live in the real world not some rainbowy paradise fantasy cliche

Wendy says: "let us take you on a journey that follows a path to a home in Santa Barbara, a place of refuge and joy. On this journey we have the tools herein to create the keys to paradise."

money can't buy happiness but can it buy a few English composition lessons for the folks at the News-Press??
