I don't believe a thing I see from the News-Press or FOX because I know they make things up all the time and are simply in business to resist everything the Obama Administration does...
it seemed very convenient to have a few of Bowe's fellow soldiers already lined up to testify against him on FOX...I'm sure that some conservative congressmen helped set all this up beforehand....another case of Swift Boating as I see it....another case of yellow journalism
the social media is essential for getting news and rumors out there and fast, but they need to be vetted to see what's true and what's false....

I'm not at all afraid of the old Taliban guys who were released..not a bit...
I will wait to see what the truth is and so far it hasn't been told...and then we'll see who the real traitors are
Invading Afghanistan and fighting tribal wars in the Middle East was/is stupid- the sooner we get out the better...will America ever learn? not as long as the media clowns keep lying to the camera and cheerleading conservative religious Christian invasions...

I'd first like to say, I thoroughly have enjoyed perusing your blog. I don't believe anyone has done a better job of taking the piss out of a publication. While your distaste for our local paper is obvious, i also believe you are dead on about the erosion of principles that plague our presumed paper of record. As a transplant from Liverpool, I subscribed to the Santa Barbara News Press to acquaint myself with our local politics, however my skepticism over the veracity of the news being presented by the News-Press soon raised an eyebrow, and the encroachment of America's Fox News into the publication now has me considering terminating my subscription. For a newspaper that hopes to portray itself as a folksy paper of record, the News-Press has over the last year has become more of a trashy tabloid like our Daily News. When fact is washed with opinion, the result is a miasma of half-truths coloured with doubt. Even more disturbing is its makeover as a frontispiece for a thinly disguise reactionary viewpoint, now cemented by the intrusion of Fox News onto it pages, a news organisation that is widely view as a jokey entertainment abroad, hardly one consumed for truth or honest. Now, I must view the News-Press with the same skepticism as that most rabid of American appetites. At least our own bonkers Daily News makes no excuses for it's intentions, to titillate the lowest common denominator of the public. The News-Press, however, seems to pride itself as a historic publication and one serving the community, but by spreading the Fox News on it pages, it is now simply the ideological vomitus of the owner's narrow viewpoint. It's quite the shame as I once fancied feeling a part of the community by reading its pages, but now I feel embarassed by its presence on my doorstep.
