right on schedule, the News-Press stooge Scott Steepleton does another front page story on Sunday.. this time bragging about support from the Minuteman Project! getting a group like Minutemen to support or endorse you is like getting praise from the KKK..
of course teabagger Tim Donnelly, who tried and failed to capture public office, he ran for governor against Brown, is one of the main racists of the Minutemen...google the guy and you can see he's crazy..David Duke crazy..Donnelly has even declared war on Mexico because he says he's related to Jim Bowie!!
he's whipping up a frenzy like an Islamic radical and encouraging other to "stab Mexicans with knives"...."I am a descendant of Jim Bowie, who died at the Alamo," Donnelly, then a leader in the Minuteman border-patrol group, said at a rally in Temecula that year. "It is rumored that he took a dozen Mexican soldiers to their deaths before they finally killed him. How many of you will rise up and take his place on that wall?"
and then there's some quotes on the front page from another Minuteman (why do you think they call them Minutemen?) Jim Gilchrist, who hates left wing commie fascists pinko illegal alien loving guys like me..hahahah!
well, Gilchrist is about as big a racist as they get..and there's a reason why the Minuteman project died: Jim Gilchrist's alliance with another zealot and convicted child killer Shawna Forde....

meanwhile, over at Wendy's Reagan Ranch Center, I saw nothing about the Immigration bill Reagan signed in 1986, granting amnesty for millions of uncertified potential Americans!

I seem to recall about this time, a restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara was raided by ICE and the owners, who were Asian or Indian were threatened with deportation..and they were accused of using illegal illegals in the kitchen... the folks in Santa Barbara rallied to their defense!
now we seem to have some problems bigger than immigration.. racist American zealots that would kill kids to further their twisted political agenda...
and this Chris Simcox guy, who founded the Minuteman Project with Gilchrist, is on trial for child molestion!! he sits in an Arizona jail accused of molesting his daughter and others.. I'll check these guys out closer in another post, but holy Jesus, what crazy scum these white boys are!!!

I see in a letter to the Independent that the Minuteman Project leader is calling for his brethren to stand guard over the News-Press building! That's just what we need in Santa Barbara, a bunched of armed right-wing loonies running around downtown. Wait until they see the hippies at the farmers market: It's gonna be a bloodbath! Thanks News-Press for drawing in the Minutemen. Boys, don't forget your muskets and hoods! Way to cheer 'em on, Steepleton.
It's amazing the McCaw fancies herself politically schooled with the Young Republican program, yet is showing zero political savvy in dealing with this situation. Even the dopey GOP would have immediately cast aside one of their own who started riling up trouble with a "racist" comment. I guess a billion dollars means "never having to say your sorry."
What a PR fiasco. Let me give you some advice, Wendy. Save face and jettison any idiot at your paper inflaming the situation, rather than calming it down. That way you look conscientious and the fall guy is the baddie. It's the Republican way! Clean house and you look all shiny and new!
