Pieces of April

I've got pieces of April, I keep them in a memory bouquet....

let's say I needed a job..where would I go..maybe a gov't job? naw, I'd have to wear a uniform and join the union..what a hassle!! so maybe I'd go down to the News-Press, be at the mercy of Wendy McCuckoo and apply for something ...looking at the News-Press Classifieds, almost two pages long, I see a job that interests me ASSISTANT DISTRICT MANAGER....basically overseeing the distribution of the paper to news stands...an important job!!

well if they need an assistant district manager, what's the manager doing?? playing golf and drinking cocktails, I bet

but as I read the ad, I see some personal informaton the News-Press requires...I'll need a valid CA license, a good driving record, insurance coverage and I need to submit a DMV printout along with the application...

"the News-Press is commited to a drug and alcohol- free workplace. Any job offer is conditional upon the successful passing of drug and alcohol testing"...

so Travis got busted for DUI; Lanny got busted for a pot house in Eureka; Lance was busted for DUI; Steepleton writes about Tequila crawling and I heard he's in rehab because his reporting is drunk with speculation and short on sober facts

the poor kids of Team Wendy members were busted for pot and even heroin overdose visited the family...

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Katich had a little flask in his desk...and yet, they all keep their jobs..how can that be?? maybe the NP drug and alcohol policy is a fraud

another fallen angel??

and now we see this gal Kim involved in a deadly DUI worked for, or is working for the News-Press...and it seems she may have had a drinking problem...

UPDATE: from KVEC Radio AM News-Talk 920: Shortly after the crash, Kimberly Ann Kreis, 52, from Santa Barbara, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after she crashed her 2013 Ford Mustang into the Mazda. She sustained minor injuries. Ventura County records show that Kreis has at least one prior conviction involving drugs or alcohol, and in 1995 she was ordered to serve 30 days in a Cottage Hospital detox program.

I wonder what kind of drug tests the News-Press administers to the employees? breathalyser? pee in a cup? Kim is kinda hot so if she peed in a cup... well..I'd...I'd...

whatever.....

some stories got legs...this one got some ass, too!

This woman had prior DUIs and she got hired at the News-Press, yet they deride Capps for hiring someone with the same record? Someone better tell the Booze-Press' HR department about the new standards!

honestly - this is ridiculous!! Why are you making this Tragedy about the News Press?!?!? It had nothing to do with the news press and lets be honest for a moment- Drunk or not Kim would have hit and likely killed those kids according to reports and witnesses seconds later they say - Also a man who works with a friends dad said he ran over one of the girls lifeless bodies also unable to stop in time- NONE THE LESS this has absolutely nothing to do with anybody but the kid who drove the car and the cars that followed - Why are you turning this into something it is not? Trying to fuel a fire that has nothing to do with this Tragedy?!?!?

"HONESTLY THIS IS RIDICULOUS"

"Actually, given that the News-Press just ran a ridiculously long series excoriating DUI driver Raymond Morua and calling into question his employment at the time, his prior record, and the hiring practices of his employer, it would have been shoddy, irresponsible journalism to not mention the connection between another alleged DUI-death offender and her recent employment history. That, in fact, would be burying the news."

Noozhawk ran Kreis' police record. A meth felon, no less. "Dedicated to a drug-free work place." Who screens these candidates at the News-Press? Keith Richards? Somebody is getting paid for doing a whole lot of nothing.
