it's true that some of the lawyers went into closed session on Wednesday, but I didn't know what it was all about..I guess that Genis and Lance went straight to the News-Press with the info and Scott Steepleton put it in his story...
and there's talk of infrared lights being used to determine if..uh..if...forms were filled in advance of a DUI arrest? I don't know what this is supposed to mean...if you're on DUI patrol today and you need to fill out forms, it would seem logical to enter certain things to save time later considering all the drinkers on the road....like your name, date or whatever..as a matter of fact, that is not unusual which Blanco admitted so this just more smoke from Lance and company...
and the smoking gun #99 is James Blanco, the ethically challenged "handwriting expert" found some things on Beutel's forms that would indicate she has, as Lance says, "zero credibility"....this coming from guys with zero credibility themselves!!
remember, Blanco was expelled from his professional organization:
the Academy’s Ethics Committee found clear and convincing evidence that Blanco had violated Section 1(a) of the Academy’s Code of Ethics and Conduct by submitting an erroneous and misleading report to be used in the judicial process....
looks like he's up to his old tricks again.....

There's clearly a demand for DUI lawyers in Santa Barbara. The police are infringing on the Constitutional rights of citizens to drive drunk. And as a graduate of the highly respected and world renowned McGeorge School of Law in the cosmopolitan city of Stockton, California, William C. Makler is there to defend you if the police have accused you not only of driving a 3,000 lb projectile with a belly full of Smirnoff, but also "Fake ID's, Furnishing Alcohol to Minors, and Public Intoxications"
Make no doubt about it, Mr. Makler is indeed a man of brilliance: "Maybe that's because there is no evidence that the use of cell phones while driving has led to more serious traffic accidents." http://santabarbaralawyer.blogspot.com/2010/02/quiet-im-driving.html
Mr. Makler practices law from the conviction of his heart in order to keep you from getting a conviction. And trust me, if owning real estate and maintaining certain level of lifestyle in California wasn't so damn expensive then I'm certain he'd be doing this all for free.
