in order to win elections says Lanny, Republicans need to embrace gay marriage, abortion and public education! haha..so that's why the News-Press dropped him!

but ok, I see the entertainment value in Lanny's nutty discourse....esp concerning public pensions..he wants to steal the pay and savings of firefighters, cops, and the rest but not so much teachers because he benefits from the UCSB Teachers Pension system..incredibly, Lanny is allowed to teach at UCSB!! he's not exactly a financial genius...but his daddy was a UCSB professor too... so..like who cares
unfortunately for the Republicans, they look like the racist Southern Democrats of yesteryear... back when racism was the norm.. the Freedom Riders (students, whites and blacks) would ride together in buses to spread the message of equality thru the south and north, but like the immigrants today, they were driven away and sometimes beaten by angry mobs of ignorant white folks...
the white folks didn't want blacks to vote because as they said: "niggers can't read, so how can they vote"...not far from the Teabaggers of today.....
all public workers in California should see that, ever since Republican governor Pete Wilson, their pooled savings have been targeted for takeover...ie the conservatives want that money...those billions in CALPERS that you as a public employee paid into, the conservatives want that cash...even Arnold and Darrel Issa wanted to get their gropey mitts on CALPERS cash...
but will they want the multitude of nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt and sitting on billions..will the conservatives go after that cash with any type of reform? no, they won't....nonprofits should not get one dime from any gov't entity, but they do..and now cry because the IRS scrutinized them
Lanny, don't forget Bush's pals at ENRON who tried to screw California workers!! the list goes on and on
CALPERS is returning between 7% and 16% on their investments..there was a time when private workers were allowed to pay into CALPERS, but they opted out..whatever, their loss...
...the taxpayers should never have to bail out a private company again...especially a bank or insurance company!!!
and Lanny worries about collective bargaining...he failed to put at least three initiatives on the ballot a few years ago because he couldn't get enough support or signatures...it was a political stunt and people saw right through it....
when Bush left office, the DOW was around 8000 points...no oversight....today, after Obama was elected, the DOW is now at 17000!! Obama has worked to keep the stock market and corporate America honest... and American companies will do well in this atmosphere..the stock market high is no bubble, it's a reality of sound money policy....wise investments pay dividends and profits..
socialists like money and conservatives like Bitcoins..and Republicans need to stop fucking with the working class..and that means hands off the workers' savings and pensions....
it's theirs..they earned it..and that's a concept trustfunders will never understand
