when I was in high school most of the girls were on Midol and that was fine by me...you could tell when they missed a dose because they got all weird and bitchy..so I kept away from them until they calmed down (usually within a few days...sometimes weeks)..but the school never treated us like criminals even though some of the girls at SBHS stole my heart...
so now we have the school board fretting about drugs on campus.... while they sit around gulping beer and wine and martinis, they voted unanimously to start the drug-sniffing dog program in local public schools...I've blogged about it before, but it's worth repeating...using an animal that spends most of its time sniffing asses and humping legs to sniff students for drugs is outrageous!! ....all these people should be tossed from the board of education...Monique Limon.. I had some hope she would be an independent force for education but has turned out to be a wallflower...she was against the dogs before but now she's ok with it??? better shape up, Monique!!
from all accounts I've witnessed, Superintendent David Cash is just an imbecile..a pathetic dumbass worse than Brian Sarvis... and the other board members are just plain stupid and lazy..too lazy to enter the school and class room to talk to students about drug abuse...too lazy to see the real problem....drug abuse among adults..just look at the local yokels busted for drunk driving lately: let's see there was an

and the number of false positives is high...just imagine being a student accused of something you didn't do because some stupid-ass dog got a boner for you!! getting thrown out of school for taking Midol??

so what's next? strip searches at the high school ? this is all about intimidation and control, not drugs...the board is telling the kids "we don't trust you!"..and you can't educate when there's no trust..

Drati will be Cash's assistant superintendent....but beware students! don't make fun of Ben Drati or he'll call the cops and have you arrested!!

FRESNO, Calif. (CN) - A student says high school officials had police arrest and interrogate him, then suspended him for 15 days for logging onto a Facebook page that parodied the school's principal. He says he didn't create the parody, and never logged onto the Facebook page with school computers, or during school hours or on school property.
Jacob Fleener and his parents sued Clovis West High School, the Clovis School District, Clovis High principal Benjamin Drati, and the district's Director of Student Services Gregory Bass, in Fresno County Court.
Fleener, who was a junior at the time, says he "was removed from his English class by a district police officer and a Clovis SRC [Student Resource Center] employee" in February 2010.
"Jacob was taken to the SRC and put in a room with two district police services officers. Nobody asked Jacob if he wanted a principal/designee with him. The SRC employee left Jacob alone with the officers then came back a moment later and confiscated Jacob's cell phone (which was turned off). The SRC employee then left Jacob alone with the two police officers who proceeded to question him." (Parentheses in complaint.)
