low down

gotta have a Jones for this, a Jones for that...

the Santa Barbara Republican Women Federated (that's their latest name... these shady ladies have had various monikers over the years) have sunk to a new low...Ty Warner owns the MCC and he should be ashamed of himself...ashamed!!

they will host a luncheon for a neo-Nazi Russell Pearce ..Pearce is the guy from Arizona who authored a racist immigration law and got recalled for extreme rightwing propaganda and was a mentor to JT Ready, the neo-nazi who killed all those people in Arizona!

Former State Sen. Russell Pearce mentored white supremacist involved in murder-suicide.

It’s deeply shocking that a toddler was among the four victims white supremacist JT Ready gunned down in Arizona on Wednesday before committing suicide. What’s perhaps more shocking is that the deranged neo-Nazi, 39, once had close ties to a prominent Arizona politician.

Russell Pearce, the recalled state senator known for sponsoring controversial legislation in Arizona to crackdown on unauthorized immigration, took Ready under his wing.

now I'm sure this guy and his brain-dead followers will deny everything, but the facts are out there: Pearce sponsored SB 1070, the Arizona immigration law that led to a boycott of the state because of it would lead to racial profiling of Latinos. Ready was also a vocal opponent of undocumented immigration from Mexico. The Phoenix New Times described him as follows:

“Charismatic and articulate, he was once a rising star in Arizona’s burgeoning, anti-Mexican Nativist movement where his inflammatory rhetoric and radical political ideas were largely embraced. However, his far-right extremist ties eventually became so overt that the anti-immigrant movement shunned him as an embarrassment.”

hmmmm, maybe I'll check out this luncheon...

Catholic Bishops try to bully Girl Scouts!

The Girl Scouts of the USA have long been a lightning rod for conservative criticism. Now they're facing their highest-level challenge: An official inquiry by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
At issue are concerns about program materials that some Catholics find offensive, as well as assertions that the Scouts associate with groups whose stances conflict with church teaching. The Scouts, who have numerous parish-sponsored troops, deny many of the claims and defend their alliances.

The inquiry coincides with the Scouts' 100th anniversary celebrations and follows other controversies.

Last week the pastor of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Chantilly, Virginia, made national news. He banned the Girl Scouts from his parish because of the Girl Scouts’ connections to pro-abortion groups, including the international scouting group, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

I support the Girl Scouts and have a message for the crazy fucks at the Catholic Church: KISS MY ASS!!
