well I can dig Bob Marley mon sticking up for de rights mon..rasta rights, human rights..reggae rights..lion rights....the right for all his songs to sound alike..really Bob...you couldn't change the tempo just once???
I guess it's too late now...it's just as well that Bob's not with us anymore..do you really think he'd play at the Bowl and hang around the Wendy McCaw Terrace?? no way!! Wendy she a bloodclot, mon... a bandulu...disya true
the SB County Bowl used to be a place where you could watch a good band in an organic setting..but now with all the renovations and overkill, it's just a giant beer bar for the pampered poodle set..and they had a group play there called uh..the Yuuts ?? a Back Street Boys copy band! Pickney moosic!! how sick is that??
kinda like the Granada....the old theater is long gone and the gaudy new one..well I just can't go in...what's missing is authenticity....you just can't buy that..renovated by a bunch of inauthentic people..now i know that too much authenticity can send folks looking for some phoniness, but you need to seek balance...some people say that they feel like they are in a movie ..but if they've never been in a movie, how would they know??
andy got an opinion..twice in de same day, mon! |
ok ..the News-Press has a bunch of screwballs running around....inauthentic screwballs....but the hypocrisy at the paper knows no limits...for example, Wendy lets Andy Caldwell write a guest opinion five times a week but it is obvious he can't communicate effectively..that's the beauty of Marley and Odetta..they could communciate with music so you had no questions what they were singing about....but Andy has zero communication skills..
.....instead he just cries like a little crybaby all the time..but the thing is when someone criticizes Andy in a letter to the News-Press, the only way Andy can respond is write his own letter to the editor! the same editor who publishes his guest editorial...so he needs a guest editorial and a letter to the editor to try and get his points across....Andy has done this twice in the last few weeks, a direct violation of the News-Press letters policy...I guess the rules don't apply to Wendy's friends
Odetta and Marley can get their points across in a three minute song!! see what I'm saying? zeen?? I mean who writes letters to the editor to explain his own editorials???!!! cha!
the point is Wendy has no business having a terrace at the Bowl named after her...and Andy Caldwell has no business writing anything.. he's a coolie!!
well I suppose I could write a letter to the editor at the News-Press and complain, but I don't know who the editor is!!!
feel no way....
