Summertime Blues

I'm gonna raise a fuss, I'm gonna raise a holler / About a workin' all summer just to try to earn a dollar /

anti-abortionist teenies part of religious cult..

ok..so apparently "apparently" and "allegedly" are two words that the News-Press uses all the time..also "may"....this is apparently apparent, to me anyways...as anybody "may" be guilty of anything

so we got Scott Steepleton and Andy Caldwell double teaming the UCSB professor who allegedy and apparently allegedly assaulted the the anti-abortion Christian gals on campus...

now Scott uses the "porn professor" to describe the teacher and "pro-lifers" to describe the girls... on the front page of the News-Press, Scott says the teacher grabbed the sign from the girls and handed it over to her students....but if you watch the video, that does not happen! the teacher didn't grab the sign at all... I hope it goes to court..this must go to court

these bible kids are being used by their stupid conservative parents to stop a legal activity...abortion...the right for a woman to choose..this is between a woman and her doctor and nobody else...

these kids, these girls are part of a group known as "Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust" a fanatical rightwing Christian organization..they are like PETA!! to them, God's law triumphs over the rule of law in America...

and these groups are behind all the abortion clinic violence: a San Diego jury recently ordered Operation Rescue and one of its directors to pay $880,000 in punitive and compensatory damages to four physicians and WomanCare clinic. OR leader Jeff White and other members of the group were shown to have repeatedly harassed clinic staff and patients and trespassed on clinic property. White had engaged in the protests to, in his words, "test" the bubble ordinance.

Strong criminal penalties and large fines are key tools in the struggle to end anti-abortion violence. With 1,700 acts of violence against family planning clinics and staff between 1977 and 1994, it is important that anti-abortion terrorists know that if they do the crime they will do the time and pay the fine.

some of their tactics are cultish and they know they can't stop abortion lawfully, so they do these little demonstrations instead of getting a summer job...but the cults are all nonprofits!!!

the ringleader of this cult is Jeff White.. an old fat white dude who trains these kids in "the dance"

Jeff White from his Facebook page: "I think I would rather have Putin as my President than Obama. I would rather of course have him as the freely elected President of the United States. We are still a great country and we are blessed to live here. Just if I had to choose between the two I think I would take Putin. That is a first for me."

there's tons of stuff about this clown on the internet!

AQJ: The most dramatic twist came last week, when about 40 protesters visited the New Mexico Holocaust and Intolerance Museum to argue for inclusion of a panel about abortion in the United States. The panel would commemorate the "American Abortion Holocaust" since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, protesters said.

Anti-abortion activists also fanned out across neighborhoods near Downtown and the University of New Mexico last week to deliver postcards headlined "Killers Among Us," with mug shots of three women, presumably abortion providers. The card also had a photo of a "15-week aborted baby," complete with a dismembered arm and disfigured face.

The debate comes as activists push for a city ordinance that would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Jeff White, founder of the advocacy group "Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust," based in Riverside, Calif., had a hand in both protests. He was in Albuquerque last week to train young activists who arrived from all over the country.

The group’s position is that "any person born after 1973 is a survivor of the American Abortion Holocaust," according to a news release.

White said he believes the protest tactics are effective and could change the minds of all but the most "pro-abortion" voters. But he said the Holocaust museum dismissed his argument out of hand.

from RAWSTORY:
As part of its "Do You Know? Do You Care?" campaign, Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust staged a protest Thursday outside of the New Mexico Holocaust and Intolerance Museum. The activists not only held signs reading "ABQ: America’s Auschwitz," they entered the museum to hand out leaflets and demand it commission an exhibit comparing the Holocaust to abortion. They did not, by their own admission, know much about the laws they came to protest.

"Since I just got here, we’ve been learning about [Albuquerque's abortion laws] since then, so I don’t know too much," confessed one teen to a reporter from KOB Eyewitness News 4.

The activists were mostly from California, and some of them paid $250 to attend the "FIRST-EVER ProLife Leadership Camp," hosted in Albuquerque because the group considers it to be "the Abortion Capital of the Southwest and the Late Term Abortion Capital of the country." An anti-abortion coalition that includes Operation Rescue claims to have collected over 25,000 signatures from Albuquerque natives in support of an October ballot measure that would ban abortions after 20 weeks.

it is obvious these tactics will backfire on the cult and they will lool as crazy at the Westboro Baptist nutjobs...

Resounding defeat for right-wing forces

http://www.defendwomensrights.org/news/anti-woman-initiative.html

The outcome of this special election is a significant achievement. All in all, the voter turnout was significantly higher than that of our mayoral election, with 85,354 votes cast on the issue (as opposed to the 70,361 that turned out for the mayoral election in October). Some 58 percent of the votes were cast by women. We worked hard to win this election and succeeded despite the fact that city council blatantly tried to repress votes by denying a polling location at the college campuses in Albuquerque, but allowed four churches to have poll locations on their premises, two of which openly advocated for voting for the proposed ordinance to their congregations.

This victory proves that a mass mobilization led by young activists can defeat anti-choice forces that use tactics of shaming and antagonizing communities. We cannot say for sure if the anti-choice forces will attempt these same tactics in the future, but we have proven that they can be defeated and have a successful model that can be used nationwide in the future.

This campaign proves that the struggle against sexist, anti-woman groups and individuals is indeed still alive and well. Our side won with science, education and mass mobilization of the public, which was far more effective than the opposition’s fear tactics, and shaming and judging of women in a campaign of misinformation....

the kids in the anti-abortion cult are being led by crazed Christian adults with zero tolerance for a woman's right to choose....zero tolerance for science...zero tolerance for education....

Jeff White is a religious fanatic...and he's now on my radar

Too bad the S.B. city councils right wing minority didn't further advance their local agenda; eliminating the citys own bubble ordinance.

I wonder if the old hag Lodge will support her extremist land-use and transportation buddy Francisco in his bid to replace Capps. All we need is more right wing extremists in the house to really f-around with women.
