If he does, he will not see any pro-life person ‘provoking,’ ‘taunting,’ or ‘peddling hate and intolerance,’ as he described in an e-mail to UCSB students following the incident. What he will see is individuals trying to reach the minds and win the hearts of others by employing facts, reason, discussion, and persuasion - exactly the type of ‘exchange of ideas’ that he said ‘is fundamental to the mission of [the] university.’

ok so people are hanging out....some are out on the beach, walking their mutts...this is a nice little beach...in the news last year for the gangster stabbing the surfer and for the drunk driver who got beat up by JUSTICE....

well I watched the County Supervisor meeting about Goleta beach and all the fuss people are making about saving it...they had to choose among five options and finally Supe Wolf chose #5..something about asking the Coastal Commission to permit the big rocks that are already in place...

 

one speaker, a guy named Jim Farr who is on the Goleta City Council, said Goleta beach has many visitors, said he didn't know why he was at the meeting, and claimed Latinos like to BBQ at the beach... racist much, Jim??? he was a white haired, white bearded old fool who mumbled like an idiot...is he Doreen's husband or father?? geez..and this is why I question the value of Goleta beach...don't white people BBQ at the beach, too??

 

first of all I don't know where Goleta beach is...I can't find it...I've been to Goleta a few times and you can't get to the beach from Hollister Ave or Kellogg Ave...I shop at KMART occasionally but going down those side roads will take you into purgatory...the streets, the houses, the people..nothing makes sense so I would caution you to stay away from Goleta side streets..they are a graveyard of industry, lemon groves, tract houses.... and broken dreams...

when I speak of beaches, I think of the ocean and sand... babes frolicking.. and boats....dolphins and birds...not rocks so much...

beaches, real beaches are glorious..East Beach is great beach..Leadbetter is one of the best..West Beach rocks....Butterfly and Hammond's....Shark's is legendary....

Summerland beach and the beach at Santa Claus Lane...Carp beach the safest beach in the world..not any more since I moved here...then the Rincon..these are real beaches..beaches where lives are soothed and changes are welcomed....warm sand that comforts..and during a big storm, the beaches will stir restless souls...


these are beaches you can see from town unlike Goleta beach...if  there really is a beach in Goleta, the sea will reclaim it..the rocks won't save it...they should have planted ice plant like East Beach..it is the only thing  keeping the sand in place after the March storm...

it's clear the Goleta beach is just a wannabe beach...just like Goleta City Council is a wannabe body politic, just like Goleta is a wannabe city...when people vote for weird guys like Jim Farr, then they deserve to lose their phantom beaches....

are these folks claiming that the native plants will somehow stop the odors? well, now the city has installed some aerators in the swamp..artificial aerators probably made of PVC piping...is this a natural body of water? no way

ok, the Carp Salt Marsh...years ago, they were going to build condos on it after filling it with dirt but the City of Carp said no way....I will admit that certain areas around the marsh have been planted with native plants which is fine but there's been no "restoration"..the actual marsh is a living ecosystem..when the tides come in and fill it up it looks like a lake...right next to the marsh are the Sandyland houses and most are on septic tanks, but the Salt Marsh and beach aren't affected.....

now, the Santa Barbara Bird Refuge has been mismanaged..all they gotta do is open a big valve and let the sea water in and return the refuge to a salt water habitat....the natural tidal flushes, like the Salt Marsh, will keep the area thriving and teeming with life....and there will be no more stench...

AQJ: The most dramatic twist came last week, when about 40 protesters visited the New Mexico Holocaust and Intolerance Museum to argue for inclusion of a panel about abortion in the United States. The panel would commemorate the "American Abortion Holocaust" since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, protesters said.

Anti-abortion activists also fanned out across neighborhoods near Downtown and the University of New Mexico last week to deliver postcards headlined "Killers Among Us," with mug shots of three women, presumably abortion providers. The debate comes as activists push for a city ordinance that would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

The group’s position is that "any person born after 1973 is a survivor of the American Abortion Holocaust," according to a news release.

The activists were mostly from California, and some of them paid $250 to attend the "FIRST-EVER ProLife Leadership Camp," hosted in Albuquerque because the group considers it to be "the Abortion Capital of the Southwest and the Late Term Abortion Capital of the country." An anti-abortion coalition that includes Operation Rescue claims to have collected over 25,000 signatures from Albuquerque natives in support of an October ballot measure that would ban abortions after 20 weeks.

The outcome of this special election is a significant achievement. All in all, the voter turnout was significantly higher than that of our mayoral election, with 85,354 votes cast on the issue (as opposed to the 70,361 that turned out for the mayoral election in October). Some 58 percent of the votes were cast by women. We worked hard to win this election and succeeded despite the fact that city council blatantly tried to repress votes by denying a polling location at the college campuses in Albuquerque, but allowed four churches to have poll locations on their premises, two of which openly advocated for voting for the proposed ordinance to their congregations.

This victory proves that a mass mobilization led by young activists can defeat anti-choice forces that use tactics of shaming and antagonizing communities. We cannot say for sure if the anti-choice forces will attempt these same tactics in the future, but we have proven that they can be defeated and have a successful model that can be used nationwide in the future.

This campaign proves that the struggle against sexist, anti-woman groups and individuals is indeed still alive and well. Our side won with science, education and mass mobilization of the public, which was far more effective than the opposition’s fear tactics, and shaming and judging of women in a campaign of misinformation....

as I was going over the conservative bible colleges approved by the Young Miss America Foundation and by association their wealthy-but-not-by-working-for-it benefactor Wendy McCuckoo, I see a private college called Thomas Aquinas and that rings a bell in my little brain...

I assume the college was named after  Saint Thomas Aquinas, a Catholic priest...well that's enough to give me the creeps right there! but it seems Aquinas wrote a trilogy, the last part being "the Summa is on Christ and was unfinished when Thomas died. In it, he shows how Christ not only offers salvation, but represents and protects humanity on Earth and in Heaven."

so last night I hear a bunch of sirens and see cops and ambulances and fire trucks and even CALTRANS was headed for what appeared to be Santa Claus Lane....the traffic was slow and backed up for miles...then I see another crash about 1/4 mile away by Carp Ave exit....it was like a big Bumper Car ride!!! I look and see some big SUVs stranded in the road..an ambulance is loading a person into the back...cops are asking some fat lady questions...there's a big 25 gallon white plastic bucket in the road...

it's dark but there's plenty of toxic light from the cars and flashing lights from the fire trucks.. I can see but barely what's going on and it was a little spooky and surreal

people left the safety of their homes and ventured out to Via Real to watch.....I think they were people but I thought I saw some ghostly silhouettes, too!

for Hire Document were written by Zuckerberg. Opp. 13. But this Court should reject Blanco’s
opinion because he considers only the general similarities between the "MZ" initials on the Work

for Hire Document and samples of other initials written by Zuckerberg—general similarities that
one would expect to find in the forged Work for Hire Document because those initials were
traced in an effort to make them look like Zuckerberg’s. See Lesnevich Supplemental Report


(Doc. No. 472-1) at 16-18. Blanco’s opinion is bankrupt because it simply ignores the many
significant differences between the initials on the Work for Hire Document and the samples of

Zuckerberg’s initials—each of which, standing alone, forecloses the conclusion that Zuckerberg
wrote the "MZ" initials on the Work for Hire Document. Those numerous differences were
documented by Gus Lesnevich in his supplemental report. See Doc. No. 472-1 at 16-18. Blanco

that the conclusion that both pages are recent forgeries is inconsistent with Defendants’
purported "page 1 substitution theory," under which page 2 of the Work for Hire Document
is authentic and only page 1 is a forgery. Opp. 1; see also id. at 12, 15, 20, 36, 37, 65. That

argument attacks a straw man and should easily be cast aside. As this Court has recognized,
Defendants have never taken the position that page 2 of the Work for Hire Document is
authentic. Doc. No. 583 at 14, 16. In fact, Defendants explicitly stated in their Motion to

Dismiss that "Ceglia appended the doctored page 1 to the authentic page 2 of the StreetFax
Contract (or a close facsimile thereof)." Defs. Br. 2 (emphasis added).

also disregards the evidence that the "MZ" initials on page 1 of the Work for Hire Document
were slowly drawn, as opposed to being naturally written. See id. at 16.
Staple Holes. Blanco claims that the pages of the Work for Hire Document were stapled
only once, and that the interlineation on page 1 made indentations on page 2. Opp. 14. But even
assuming arguendo that this is true, it suggests only that both pages of the Work for Hire

Document are recent forgeries, and does not refute Defendants’ showing that page 1 is a
fabrication. See Osborn Tr. (Doc. No. 489) 107:8-22.


Blanco’s Checkered Past. Blanco has little regard for accuracy and has been ostracized
by the forensic scientific community. In a deposition in another case, Blanco asserted that one
could hire an expert to "testify to the exact contrary" to his handwriting analysis, because one

"can pretty much get experts to say anything." See Southwell Decl. Ex. G. Moreover, three
professional forensic societies—the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners

("ABFDE"), the Southwest Association of Forensic Document Examiners ("SWAFDE"), and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences ("AAFS")—have launched investigations into alleged
ethical violations by Blanco. See Southwell Decl. ¶ 12, Exs. H-K. While investigations were
pending in the ABFDE and the SWAFDE, Blanco "resigned" from both professional societies.
Id. The thorough AAFS investigation resulted in the Ethics Committee, chaired by a former
judge and composed of preeminent document examiners, finding unanimously that Blanco had
violated multiple sections of the AAFS’s Code of Ethics. Among other things, it determined that
he had submitted "an erroneous and misleading report to be used in the judicial process, thereby
diminishing confidence in forensic scientists and their disciplines," and that he had "knowingly
misrepresent[ed] the data used to arrive at the conclusions in his report." See Southwell Decl.
Ex. K. The Ethics Committee recommended that Blanco be expelled from AAFS, and the Board

adopted the Ethics Committee’s findings after allowing Blanco an opportunity to be heard.
Blanco appealed the Board’s expulsion to the AAFS membership in 2009, and the membership
overwhelmingly approved the expulsion. See Southwell Decl. Ex. H. Blanco then sued the
AAFS. Although the AAFS settled the litigation by agreeing to rescind Blanco’s expulsion if he
resigned and never applied for membership again, see Doc. No. 459-1 at 17-21, the settlement
agreement did not disturb the findings of the Ethics Committee that Blanco had submitted an
"erroneous and misleading report" and "knowingly misrepresent[ed]" data, see Southwell Decl.
Ex. K.
Blanco himself acknowledges that he had no factual basis for his speculation that
someone’s fingers transferred suntan lotion or some other product to the Work for Hire
Document. Blanco Tr. at 262:17-263:7. This is not surprising, because he did not even examine
the document with a stereomicroscope.

Blanco shot back in his Declaration:

In spite of the matter being resolved and vacated, many AAFS members who are aware of these details continue their attempts to use the expulsion as a tool to impeach me in litigation matters. Federal Judge Russell jumped in to vigorously defend me when this was attempted in his courtroom- see trial transcript excerpts (attached hereto as EXHIBIT 8) which include his colorful statement, "I’m convinced that Mr. Blanco has done nothing wrong. I have dealt with some organizations like the one he’s dealing with and, you know, frankly, they’re a bunch of old fogies who don’t know what they’re doing."

I looked but couldn't find anything bad about Susan Morton...the SF crime lab scandal was a lab worker witha drug problem who kept stealing the cocaine evidence!! that was 4 years ago when California AG Kamala Harris was San Fran District Atty... Judge recommends Ceglia case vs Facebook be dismissed
(Reuters) - A federal judge on Tuesday recommended the dismissal of a lawsuit against Facebook Inc in which Paul Ceglia, an upstate New York wood pellet salesman, claimed a huge ownership stake in the social media company.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Leslie Foschio said there is "clear and convincing evidence" that an alleged 2003 contract with Mark Zuckerberg, now Facebook's chief executive, that Ceglia claimed entitled him to a one-half interest in the company is a "recently created fabrication."

In October, federal prosecutors in Manhattan announced criminal mail and wire fraud charges against Ceglia, whom U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara accused of seeking "a quick pay day based on a blatant forgery.
