hey I was thinking..really!! why don't we set some goals! it's important to set goals...in hockey, goals are important...soccer too..
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!
instead of just making fun of peeps...I think we should be goal oriented not that the peeps we make fun of aren't well deserving, but after seeing the News-Press circulation numbers of 25000, I figured why not shoot for 10000! it's like shorting a stock..betting on a drop in price, or in this case, drop in readership, interest, credibility, relevance, and overall worth..and the News-Press wants you to get them..if you read the paper closely you'll find little clues... and we know what a Travis mugshot looks like, how about Steepleton's mugshot ...

now speaking of resurrections, I hear that former News-Press publisher before Wendy has gone to work for one of Wendy's rivals, Sarah Miller-McCune...this according to the Pac Coast Business Times.. I guess you could say I'm an aggregator now! hey, why work when others will do it for you!! see, Wendy has taught me something!!
Miller-McCune magazine said May 4 that it has appointed former Santa Barbara News-Press and Boston Globe Publisher P. Steven Ainsley as its president and publisher.
Ainsley was president of the News-Press from 1993 to 1999, while the newspaper was still owned by the New York Times Co. He also headed up the Times’ regional media group.
and that was back when the News-Press was a good newspaper!

New York Times corporate routinely rotated publishers among its various newspapers. Steve Ainsley was sent to Santa Barbara after a survey revealed the News-Press had the lowest morale of any paper in the NYT chain. He was a breath of fresh air in the newsroom and popular in the community. He replaced Joe Tarrer, also from NYT corporate. By then, Tarrer had already completed his mission — busting the paper's three unions.
mugshot of Joe Armendariz?
Craig Smith is reporting that eight newsroom workers have submitted a petition requesting that the Teamsters be decertified as their bargaining rep.
