Truth

just give me some truth...

"The things that will destroy America are peace at any price,
prosperity at any cost, safety first instead of duty first,
the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life."
Theodore Roosevelt

in the olden days, they used to drill holes in your head to release evil spirits...yesterday I went to Home Improvement and bought a drill....

I was glad to see the cops issue a statement of support for Officer Kasi Beutel and call out the News-Press on its yellow journalism...the News-Press is the most corrupt business in town, so them calling the cops corrupt is ridiculous... and it's the only local business that got caught with child porn on their computers!! Wendy?? Nipper?? oh, I remember, you blamed someone else....a recurring theme in all this

but I was shocked I say shocked to see the Santa Barbara Police Dept still uses polygraph tests...at least that's what the City website says..

http://www.santabarbaraca.gov/Government/Departments/Police/Police_Polygraph.htm

Q. Is a Polygraph admissible in court

A.Generally, the answer is "No". However, if there is a stipulation by the defense and prosecution to admit the results, the court will then consider the results of the polygraph. The Santa Barbara Police Department often conducts polygraph examinations that are requested by both the prosecution and agreed to by defense counsel to verify the truth on many cases...

guys, you need to throw these machines into the ocean and create artificial reefs which is a much better use for them....I've said it before and I'll say it again..there is no machine that can tell if you are lying..none nada zip....any basic psychology course will tell you that... and defense lawyers still use polygraphs....THE JUSTICE SYSTEM NEEDS TO CLEAN UP ITS ACT!! get rid of the polygraphs!!
but if you are gonna allow lie detectors, the you should also allow Ouija boards and Magic 8 Balls!!

in vino veritas

speaking of psychology, a Ph.D. from Pacifica University in Summerland was busted for DUI in SB! of course all folks are innocent until I say they're guilty...but just another one to watch out for when you're on your bike...bad girl!! Pacifica treaches depth psychology..Jungian archetypes and other cool stuff..psychology teaches us THE TRUTH about ourselves so you would think the most fundamental thing to learn is don't drive drunk!! I wonder if there's an archetype for that??

never believe what you read in the newspapers....
speaking of bad girls, another young Turk is suing the City of SB and the cops who arrested her for DUI...this chick sounds like Amanda Bynes! more tax money going to babysit the drunks!!!

Brittney Cotledge v. City of Santa Barbara et alPlaintiff:
Britteny Cotledge
Defendants:
City of Santa Barbara, Kyle Crooks, Does, Chief Cam Sanchez and Officer Aaron Tudor
Case Number:
2:2012cv08623
Filed:
October 9, 2012
Court:
California Central District Court
Presiding Judge:
Michael R. Wilner
Nature of Suit
Civil Rights - Other Civil Rights

oh gosh, here we go again.. I can see another Tony Denuzio scenerio coming down the pike...remember poor Tony was just another innocent victim of police abuse....poor little Tony is such an angel and the yuppiemuppies in town flocked to his defense with Noozhawk leading the squawks....then as time went on it was revealed that Tony was driving drunk, driving on a suspended license, was found guilty of battering a teenager and hitting his ex wife....a lovely guy..after all these incidents were brought to light, Noozhawk stopped defending him openly, anyway...

now let's see what kinda gal Britteny Cotledge is..if she's got Darryl Genis for a lawyer, she's gotta be a nut..and wasn't she the same gal who threatened a lawsuit last year, but her boyfriend said she was belligerent during the arrest...my God these DUI attys are such bloodsuckers!! anything for a buck....

this story about Britteny Cotledge was written by Scott Steepleton and was on the front page of the News-Press... and on page A10 Scott dredges up another story about a couple of guys,  two District Attys from Los Angeles who got drunk and caused a ruckus at the Indochine bar in Santa Barbara in 2008.....he was trying to claim the SB cops beat up the suspects..the story that Scott told conflicts with the actual civil minutes of the case...

After passing about 20 minutes at the second bar, Plaintiff and Pavlovic decided to leave and go to Indochine. SUF ¶ 9. Sometime after arriving at Indochine, Plaintiff went into the bathroom and telephoned a friend. SUF ¶ 10. Plaintiff then went looking for Pavlovic and found him in an outdoor area of the nightclub. SUF ¶ 11. Pavlovic handed Plaintiff a drink and then, within seconds, Gomez (Indochine's "bouncer") approached Plaintiff and told him that Plaintiff had to get Pavlovic out of the bar. SUF ¶ 12. Meanwhile, George (Indochine's manager) called the Santa Barbara Police Department to report an ongoing disturbance involving Plaintiff and Pavlovic. SUF ¶ 16. George gave physical descriptions of two men, who George reported were harassing female customers and refusing to leave the nightclub.

I'll delve into the details later.... DREW JOSFAN v. INDOCHINE, et al.

now of course I support Officer Beutel, Officer Corbett and Officer Tudor and the other cops who deal with these spoiled brats who refuse to take any personal responsibility and who waste my tax money...I would much rather have Officer Tudor patrolling the streets than guys like Tony DeNunzio driving on them!!

but hey, when you deal with and arrest drunks, you're gonna ruffle some feathers!! GOOD JOB SBPD!!
